I took my husky to PetWorks this morning to use their self-washing bath, and the experience was amazing! Briana was the employee who helped me—she was super sweet, explained the different bath services, and even told me about their bath card deal (5 baths for $60, saving $15, and you can use them whenever you want). Bathing my husky at home is always a struggle since she’s stubborn, takes forever to get wet, and drying her is a nightmare. But PetWorks made the process so much easier. The water pressure was strong enough to soak her thick fur quickly, and the setup made it easy to tie her up and bathe her safely. They provide a nice supply of shampoos, though I’d recommend bringing your own since the ones there are watered down (and you can’t bring flea/tick shampoo for safety reasons). The dryer they have was also a lifesaver—it cut the drying time significantly compared to what I’m used to at home. Overall, the experience was pleasant and stress-free. Briana especially made it great—she’s genuinely kind, enthusiastic, and you can tell she enjoys working there. Friendly service like that makes all the difference. Highly recommend PetWorks!

New furbaby supplies

I've been buying pet supplies here for years, but had a pretty awful experience recently when I needed some actual customer service. I bought a $25 cat toy that turned out to be defective once I opened the package. I went to return the item, but the owner told me since the package was opened it's now "the manufacturer's problem, not ours" - but really that just makes it "my problem", since the manufacturer says to return it to the place of purchase. This is odd since their website says they welcome returns on "like new" items - I had the packaging and everything. I asked for an even exchange of the same item, but they refused this too - so I'm out $25 for choosing to support a small business. I just don't understand how a business can hope to retain customers by selling something broken to them, then refusing to help in any way.

The owner of the store was incredibly rude to me and I would not go back there! I was walking around looking for a treat to buy and my dog found something on the floor and ate it. When I got to the counter the owner asked me how many treats my dog had eaten but I didn’t see what exactly she had found. She said my dog “stole” things so I had to pay for them and kept demanding I tell her how many treats. I have been in this store about ten times and my dog has never taken anything from the bins, but if something is on the floor it’s really hard to prevent her from scarfing it up! I got frustrated with being accused of stealing, and the owner told me to leave. It was a very weird and uncomfortable experience! Update: Their response below is very telling. My dog was literally by my side on the leash, and is very well behaved. There is no way they could have seen her eating treats from trays on video....complete lie to cover up immature and rude behavior. And if it's that big of a deal, why put treats in an open bin two inches from the ground at dog mouth height? So you can harass people? It's like they get off on it - def was no "kindly" about the way they talked to me. The escalation is 100% on them. No problem never coming back!

Just had to give a shoutout to Pet Works! This place is awesome. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help you find the perfect treat for your furry friend. They have a great selection of natural treats that my doggo loves. I feel good knowing everything is high-quality and good for them. Plus, the store is really clean and easy to shop in. If you're in Morgantown and need some great treats or grooming or whatever for your pets, definitely check this place out. Highly recommend!

The staff is very passive and rude. As soon as we entered, the chaser was immediately off putting and almost acted as if we were bothering her in the store. There was no formal greeting which is fine, but after a couple sighs and complete silence, the vibes feel just very off and not welcoming. The selection of toys they have are alright, the place is clean and eye catching , but just not worth shopping at a store where you feel uncomfortable as a customer

So I thought upon moving to Morgantown that I had found a great pet store. I like friendly pet stores that are not like the Walmart vibe such as petsmart . The gal helping me let me know that there was a grooming facility in their Cheat Lake location , which I loved. I bought some new ID tags for my two French bulldogs, some food and grabbed a random deer antler and elk antler on top of other items. Well, the gal told me I could return anything within three days, so I didn’t look at the receipt or the prices. I purchased a dog harness that first my young frenchie and then looked at my receipt to see why I had spent $188 for just a few things . Needless to say, the deer antlers I purchased were $80, which I would never had bought for that price . I can get those for free anywhere. The salmon skins I bought were $10 buy the register and fine with that price . I tried to return the two overpriced deer antlers/ elk on the same day, and I had paid cash and the little girl at the register had no clue how to do that transaction. She was ready to return them As they should have since I literally think that price is ridiculous and even told the gal upon my first purchase there earlier , I would maybe return some things because I didn’t realize I was spending so much money on deer antlers . Bottom line, the gal would not return an item that was literally purchased three hours prior on the same day, and they were extremely non- accommodating and rude . They lost my repeat business and also my grooming business , which would have been every two weeks. Not happy with poor service. Yes I should have looked at the price of the antler before I purchased , but I would never think that a store would blatantly have such an expensive overpriced item by the register for a last minute purchase . I simply wanted to return the antlers and I would have been a loyal customer there. I will find another place . Not happy at all , and not impressed with the lack of training the staff had for a return …
