About
Beital's Aquariums Sales, Services & Ponds in Pearl River, NY, is the kind of aquarium store regulars describe as "second to none" — rows of immaculately kept tanks that more than one visitor has said could pass for a museum. The driving force is owner Craig, whose decades of fishkeeping knowledge anchor the whole operation; longtime customers like Veronica, who has shopped here for five years with her kids, single out Craig and his wife Debbie for the patient, genuinely welcoming service that keeps them coming back. The livestock runs deep across both freshwater and saltwater.
" On the saltwater side, customers have stocked 120-gallon displays with exotic fish "you'd usually only see while scuba diving," along with clownfish and other reef favorites. If you're hunting for arowanas, discus, or hard-to-source tropical fish for sale in Pearl River, NY, this is the shop other stores point people toward; one Westchester dad was told by a tank manufacturer that Beital's was the place to call. Beyond the livestock, Beital's builds custom tanks from scratch and handles full saltwater setups, in-home installations, ongoing maintenance, and tank relocations — including a celebrated display at Rayim that lights up kids' faces every day.
Pond owners rely on the team for seasonal openings, closings, and liners, and the shop keeps dry goods, Aquatop equipment, and aquatic plants available in Pearl River, NY. Craig can come across as rough around the edges, and prices run higher than online sellers, but for genuine expertise and stunning custom work, devoted regulars wouldn't shop anywhere else.

Customer reviews
“Craig and team are incredible at what they do. The service is top-notch and quality fish and all accessories are just top-of-the-line highly highly recommended.”
— Ari Goldberger5.0a month ago“This shop has multiple scarlet and blue gold macaws that have plucked all their chest feathers out. This is a sign of intense stress and is really sad to see. Also, many of their fish tanks are overstocked and dirty. I hope the management holds themselves to higher ethical standards. This is super sad and distressing.”

— ravi ravi3.0a month ago“I’ve been coming to Beital’s Aquarium shop for about five years now, and it’s still my favorite aquarium shop—my kids love it too. The store is always clean, well-kept, and full of beautiful fish. Customer service is amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful, and they always make you feel welcome. Craig and his wife Debbie are especially great—Craig is always there to answer any questions and really takes his time to help. I’ve never had any issues, and I always leave happy. Definitely my go-to spot!”
— Veronica Nunez5.0a month ago“Great shop! Great owner! Amazing customer service! You're not going to find a shop in the tri-state area that has more to offer than Beital's Aquarium. The owners Craig and Debbie are the nicest people youi'll ever meet.”
— Rony Charles5.0a month ago“I had a great experience at Beital's Aquarium. The owner, Craig, was incredibly kind, personable, and genuinely helpful. The staff was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I visited with my son, and they made the whole experience enjoyable for both of us. A few days later, our Betta fish sadly died, but when I called, Craig was quick to respond and took the time to guide me on what to do moving forward. He allowed me to get another fish which my son named "Blaze", and Blaze is doing great. That level of care and support really stood out. I truly appreciate the customer service here and would definitely recommend Beital's Aquarium to others.”
— Natacha Payne5.0a month ago“This all started when I bought my 2.5-year-old daughter some fish from a big-name pet store. She was completely happy with the typical 5-gallon tank setup… I was not. Like any typical dad, I had to go much bigger. After finding the tank I wanted, I called several local “upscale” fish and pet stores in Westchester, but no one had it in stock. I even called the manufacturer, and they told me that Beital’s Aquarium was definitely the place I needed to contact. I called the next business day, and what I believe was the owner answered. Right away, he started calling his supplier while I was still on the phone trying to track down the exact tank I wanted. That level of service was impressive. Within about 15 minutes, everything was handled and I was able to place the order. He even matched online pricing. Since that first phone call, I’ve been making the drive from Westchester to shop there for some really amazing fish. Anytime I have questions—or even random algae problems—Craig, the owner, has been an absolute expert and incredibly helpful. You can tell he has years of experience, and it makes a huge difference for customers like me. Great store, great service, and an owner who truly knows his stuff. Highly recommend.”
— nick dibona5.0a month ago“The owners here are Super rude to their workers. It felt a bit like racism to me as they were giving their black employees the most attitude while they were trying to help right in-front of me, then proceeded to talk to me nice like I didn’t just witness that. It sucks because their fish selection is nice (yet pricy) but because of how they treated people below them, I will never give them my business again.”
— Nina Marie2.02 months ago“I’ve had a great experience with Beitals Aquarium. Craig, the owner, can come off a bit rough around the edges—but honestly, if you want a fish tank that truly takes your breath away, he’s the person to trust for design and service. This is my third tank with him. I currently have a 120-gallon saltwater tank filled with exotic fish you’d usually only see while scuba diving—it’s absolutely stunning. I also have a 54-gallon corner saltwater tank with “Nemo and Dory” (lol), and a freshwater tank that’s more my husband’s favorite. My kids love visiting the shop, and it’s always a fun experience for them. I just wish he offered birthday parties—it would be perfect! Thanks again it’s great therapy watching Barbara”
