About
In Peachtree City, Georgia, Off The Hook Marine Fish has become the go-to independent aquarium store for the south metro Atlanta area, a stretch where dedicated saltwater shops are genuinely scarce. Owner Donna and her team have built a reef-forward shop that regulars treat as a one-stop spot for all things aquatic, and recent visitors keep singling out Bella, whose patient, spot-on advice helps turn first tanks into thriving ones. Saltwater is the backbone here.
Well-kept display tanks hold corals — hammer corals and other reef staples — alongside clownfish, gobies, and pistol shrimp pairings, and customers routinely report healthy fish that acclimate cleanly into established reefs. If you're hunting clownfish or saltwater corals for sale in Peachtree City, GA, this is the rare shop in the south Atlanta region that actually stocks them. Freshwater isn't an afterthought: live plants grow submerged under proper lighting, bettas are kept in real tanks rather than cups, and angelfish, ghost shrimp, and chaeto round out the selection for community and refugium builds alike.
Beyond livestock, the store carries a deep run of dry goods, aquarium equipment, and tank essentials, plus the unique driftwood pieces that reefers and aquascapers keep coming back for. Staff will happily track down and order hard-to-find fish to the shop, and free in-store water testing helps walk-in customers dial in their parameters before they buy. Robbie has walked hobbyists through building 150-gallon saltwater setups from scratch, while technicians like Josh and Chris handle at-home tank maintenance and cleanings for local customers.
Prices sit on the higher side and service can vary by who's working the floor, but for aquarists across south metro Atlanta who want a local independent over a big-box counter, Off The Hook delivers saltwater knowledge and healthy stock you can see in person before you commit.

— Luther Duster5.0a month ago“They have a great selection of fresh and salt water fish which is why I drove 45 minutes to take care of my tanks but With that being said. They use to offer testing of my salt water & told me what was needed to correct it which helped me greatly since I travel for business a lot & always on the go all the time but they stopped which now for me is not worth the trip. If they brought that back it would be worth the trip.”
— John De Stefano3.02 months ago“I’m very disappointed with the customer service I received from the manager at this store. I brought up a concern about a fish I had just purchased that died on the way home that was in their tank water. The fish was never exposed to direct sunlight and never came into contact with my tank water, so I was hoping for understanding and support. Instead, the manager responded defensively and suggested the fish died because I briefly stopped at Publix nearby store. She compared the situation to leaving a child or dog in a car, which felt inappropriate and dismissive of my concern. I have traveled a considerable distance to shop here and have always appreciated the help from other staff members, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Unfortunately, this interaction has changed my perception of the store. Based on this experience, I will not be returning and would encourage others to reconsider if customer service and respectful communication are important to them.”

Prices are good, service is good, fish are healthy that I’ve bought from them and getting along well with my others :) can’t really ask for much more! Store is always clean and there’s always someone to help.”
— Kyle Jette5.03 months ago“We love this store! It’s our one stop shop for all things aquatic! My son has a beautiful tank with beautiful fish! Bella is always so helpful and is spot on with her aquatic knowledge and tips! And they truly care about their customers and their fish-testing the water for free and guiding them in the direction they need to go!”
— Joni Herron5.04 months ago“this is hands down one of the best aquatic shops i’ve been to. i recently got a pair of clownfish and they acclimated beautifully with zero issues. the staff were super friendly & knowledgeable! bella was especially helpful. she made the whole visit feel welcoming & easy.”
— korra's daughter5.04 months ago“Im so upset. I just set up and cycled a new 40 gallon tank. This was my first stop for fish. I blame myself for not inspecting the fish better. I get them in the tank. Then I notice 2 fish have ICH and I got shrimp. I spent over $100. Now I have to treat my tank for a month and hope the shrimp dont die. I definitely dont have time to do water changes everyday. Im so upset on many levels. 2 fish have already died. I have been testing my tank everyday and the water is perfect. This is unacceptable. Note to self. Inspect fish before leaving the store.”
— Jelly Bean1.04 months ago“Used to love going here but unfortunately the “new” manager they decided to hire has my fiancé, my sister, and myself never wanting to come back. Not sure of his name as he never interacts with us but he has blonde shaggy hair and has a few arm tattoos. He always acts as if he knows better than the customer who come in, never wants to help, always seems very bothered by anything that a customer needs and is never respectful. My fiancé and I used to be very regular members and always avoided the manager due to his poor attitude but we kept coming back. Recently my sister got a salt tank set up and has been needing supplies and fish for her tank. The two times her and I have been in the shop together were very negative. The first time we went in looking for a Wheeler Goby which we found however it was paired with a pistol shrimp which when my fiancé and I where seeking one they happily separated the goby and pistol shrimp pairing but when my sister and I asked about getting a Goby, we where simply told “no we can’t do that” no solution or explanation as to why we could not buy the goby and then we where ignored after being told no. We found Bella who is absolutely amazing and had always been extremely helpful and happy to help and she kindly gave us an explanation that the pairs they had in the shop had been together for a while and that is why they could not be separated and we totally understood. She offered to order one for my sister and got her number and name to do so. The manager never offered or even mentioned the possibility of ordering a Goby for my sister. The second time my sister, my mom, and myself went, we where specifically looking for a pair of clown fish and fresh water fish and where never greeted by the manager who was the only person visible at the time until Bella came out from the back about ten minutes later and finally asked us if we needed help to which we said yes and she happily got my sister her clowns meanwhile, people coming into the store where greeted by the manager. I am extremely disappointed with how the store has changed and really hope something is said to him for the sake of keeping clientele and not pushing away new customers. The store previous to the new manager was always extremely pleasant and enjoyable. Hoping it’ll eventually come back around to being a great store.”
