About
8-star average across more than 90 reviews and a devoted following across the greater Atlanta area. Step inside and you'll find an unexpectedly beautiful space — water plants and pond supplies alongside local artist booths, pottery, birdhouses, rain chains, homemade goods, and a resident cat that sets the laid-back tone. But the heart of the shop is serious pond expertise.
Koi are the headline draw: vivid, healthy fish a cut above big-box stock. Butterfly koi and shubunkin goldfish are for sale in Kennesaw, GA at prices reviewers describe running from around $5 to well over $100. The selection of outdoor water plants is just as deep — water lilies (including a popular burgundy lily), water hyacinth, and other aquatic varieties are available in Kennesaw, GA for ponds of every size.
One recent visitor picked up two butterfly koi and "can't wait for them to grow," while others come simply to browse the plants and the assortment of homemade items. Owner Richard and the Kol Koi team are repeatedly praised as patient, knowledgeable problem-solvers. They handle full pond builds, annual cleanings, pump and filter installation, leak troubleshooting, and even 500-gallon quarantine tank setups, and they take real time to teach new pond owners about aerators, filtration, water flow, and proper sizing.
A staff member recently walked one customer through choosing plants and exactly how to care for them — the kind of hands-on help that turns an inherited koi pond from a mystery into a rewarding hobby. For healthy koi, goldfish, and pond plants near me, this Kennesaw fish store is the real deal — a dedicated pond shop with hard-won knowledge and the kind of care that keeps customers coming back for years.

— richard mann5.06 months ago“I bought some water plants, which are doing good except the $25 lily, it started dying the next day, I am upset paying $25 for a small lily that died. I was told I couldn’t buy any of the big ones, only the small ones. This is the size I got but two 😳 that’s what I was thinking about transporting but ppl ship them all the time. I just checked my water hycianth, 2 of the petiole’s are brown and mushy so I looked it up and it says the roots are supposed to be white but mine are brown and white but then I remembered they was like this when I got them and I didn’t know it wasn’t normal, what do I to fix this? The rhizome in the water lily looks fine (I’m assuming) but nothing is happening and it’s been 2 wks. I just have been busy. I just noticed it’s the leaf actually but does this look normal? Also thank you for responding!”
