Fish 4 U

Recently went here for the first time and purchased some Corey’s. The fish are super healthy, energetic and a great addition to my aquarium. I’m very impressed and will definitely be back.

Beware of this place. I went in to purchase snails and were able to find what I wanted. Although the prices are clearly posted on the tanks, I was told that they were actually a dollar higher than the posted price. It seems that this place will do anything to rip off a customers, even if it’s against the law. If a price is posted, sell the product for that price! I try to support smaller locally owned businesses first before going to larger chain stores but I’ll never step foot in there again. I’m really surprised that they are still in business with such poor and illegal business practices like that. They deserve every bad review that they receive.

I love Fish 4 U! I frequent them quite often as they are the best local fish store in the Salt Lake Area. I’ve always had amazing experiences there, as all of the employees are super friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to give aquarium advice even if you aren’t purchasing anything from the store. I have two tanks; a 2.5 gallon that is a cherry shrimp and nerite/mystery snail only tank, and a 5 gallon that contains a betta (that I did not get from Fish 4 U), amano shrimp, and a mystery snail. I’ve purchased all of my snails and cherry/amano shrimp from Fish 4 U, and they’re all still doing great, even months after adding them to my tanks, and many of the shrimp have gotten huge! I also purchased multiple plants from them, including an amazon sword, a standard java fern, and a dwarf saggitaria. I fertilize using Aquarium Co-Op Easy Green which definitely has something to do with the quick growth, but all of the plants are absolutely exploding! They sell good quality, healthy plants that will grow into your tank quite nicely with the use of some good fertilizer. Other than a little bit of melt on my amazon sword as it was initially too tall for the 5 gallon I planted it in, all of the plants I’ve bought have done absolutely spectacularly and haven’t melted back at all. I also really love that they quarantine all of their fish before selling them, so I know that I’m receiving fish that are healthy and won’t infect my other tank inhabitants with worms or parasitic diseases. Overall, I’m always impressed with the quality of fish and plants Fish 4 U sells, and I’ve always felt so welcomed and looked after while I’m in the store! Support local, support Fish 4 U! You won’t regret it.

Excellent variety of supplies, plants, and fish. Everything I’ve ever purchased has been healthy. Staff is also knowledgeable and attentive.

These guys are the best! They’re knowledgeable, kind, and have great stock! Whenever I go to Salt Lake, I make sure I stop there. They have products I can’t get in Cache Valley, and healthy fish I feel comfortable adding to my tanks.
