The place is clean, quiet, and the fish are healthy. I got 6 vigorous corydoras fish and they are all doing well more than a week later. They also have a green house where they’ve made giant climbing pothos which I thought was very cool. They also have a huge selection of everything you might need for your tank, including Hikari fish food which is usually difficult to find.”

I was browsing for about 40 minutes and grabbing things off of the shelf, as well as interested in looking at some plants and some fish, however in the entirety of the time that I was in the store not one single time was I acknowledged by a staff member. Now typically when I shop I do like to be left alone, however I do feel like it is in the businesses best interest that the staff were more attentive towards customers who are clearly here to spend money. I did not end up getting my fish or plants because I couldn’t track down an employee. The guy at the cash register presumably named Patrick , an older black gentleman, was on a personal cell phone call the entire time that I was checking out. Again, I’m not a boomer so doesn’t typically bother me, but it was a little annoying when he’s having a personal conversation and not even looking at me or addressing me as I’m spending my money. I do see that they are actively hiring, so hopefully they put a focus on hiring people who actually care about the customers and know about the animals. My biggest concern is pictured above, they have a good selection of fish, nothing too crazy, would compare this place to like a really expensive Petco or PetSmart, they carry all of the name brands and things you won’t find at most other big box stores so that’s a plus. However, they should stick to just keeping fish, the red eared sliders are in a tiny miserable tank, with no heat or UV which is reflected in the deformities in their shells. They have an axolotl in room temperature water because people seem to forget that axolotl‘s need cold water so his gills are shrivelled up and he’s very skinny, places like this should not try to keep animals that they’re not knowledgeable about. The red eared sliders you can see are trying to bask but can’t because they have nowhere to bask, the bigger one has fungus on his tail and on his rear feet which again would not be an issue if he could properly dry off and heat up. They have a lot of algae on them which in and of itself it’s not a problem but it’s a symptom of a problem, if they could bask they wouldn’t have as much algae. I’m assuming that they’ve probably received some outdated advice on the turtles, they are albino’s, but that does not mean that they don’t need to bask or require UV like was previously thought in the 90s and early 2000s. Hopefully the owner sees this and hopefully they get in some staff that are able to actually care for the animals properly as well as drive sales and engage with customers. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and it was not very busy. No reason why myself as well as several other guests in the building are not being acknowledged by staff.”
