About
Robert's Reef is a saltwater-only aquarium store in Fort Worth, TX that has become a destination for reef keepers across North Texas, with several reviewers happily driving an hour or two each way just to browse. The coral selection is the headliner. One hobbyist with eight years under his belt called it "the absolute best place I have ever seen," and customers regularly admit they come in just to admire the show tanks before leaving with a frag they had been hunting for months.
If you are searching for healthy corals for sale in Fort Worth, TX, this is the kind of shop where the livestock is quarantined, the tanks are immaculate, and the staff would rather steer you right than push a quick sale. Beyond coral, the store stocks a strong range of saltwater fish, with blue tangs among the regulars, plus invertebrates and a genuinely deep clean-up-crew section that goes right down to hard-to-find berghia nudibranchs. Dry goods, salt, RO water, and fish food round out the shelves, so you can handle a water change and a new addition in one trip.
As an authorized Planet Aquariums dealer, the shop also helps customers into custom tanks, and one reefer walked out with a 120-gallon setup at what he called a killer deal. What people remember most is the people. Owner Robert is hands-on and takes obvious pride in his livestock, and staff member Kelly comes up again and again.
In a recent visit, a customer credited her with rescuing a prized marine aquarium "from RUIN" in just two maintenance services. Another, a widow, wrote that Kelly patiently taught her to care for her late husband's tank so it could keep thriving as a living memorial. Friendly shop dogs and an unhurried, ask-questions-first style make it easy to linger.
For anyone serious about reefkeeping near Fort Worth, Robert's Reef pairs top-tier corals and saltwater fish with the kind of guidance that keeps tanks alive.

“I’ve never seen a better staffed, better stocked, more knowledgeable staffed saltwater fish store. I was lucky 🍀 to have heard about Kelly ( her name had been brought up before in the circles of marine life 🪸 🐠 ) because she truly saved my prized marine aquarium from RUIN… in just two services my aquarium is THRIVING AND FLOURISHING based upon her recommendations and modifications. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Kelly for the maintenance & service of your aquarium. She’s done this passionately all of her life and it’s reflected in the current condition of my aquarium. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ across the board for Kelly and Roberts Reef 🪸”

— Hayden Long5.03 weeks ago“I have a custom aquarium built by Planet Aquariums that I accidentally broke a section of the lid on. I needed a replacement section cut, because I wanted it to be the same edges, the same glass, the same everything. Roberts Reef is an authorized dealer for Planet Aquarium, and they are close to where I live, and since PA only does business with dealers and recommended them, I reached out. I was told by the (assuming) owner, to source my own glass from Home Depot instead. That it was cheaper. There was never any preliminary, "what size do you need" or "let me see what I can do for you". It was instantly dismissive. Maybe he didn't want to deal with PA. Maybe he only wants to be part of huge custom orders. We'll never know? While that may be true that it's cheaper (spoiler alert: it wasn't), not only do I not want to get my CUSTOM aquarium lids glass from "Home Depot", I did not want to cut it myself, or have some knucklehead there making min. wage to try and cut it. I didn't want to deal with it. The whole point of ordering from an AUTHORIZED dealer is to have this all done for me. Long story short, I ended up having another shop down in Haltom City contact PA, and the glass was cut an delivered within 2 days. And I ended up purchasing more in store while I was there..Roberts Reefs may have had good intentions saying to save money and DIY, but in my opinion that was completely unprofessional and frankly rude.”

— Kevin Cattrano5.0a month ago“After my husband passed away, I wanted to keep his aquarium going as a way to honor his memory. It was something he loved, but I had never learned how to care for it myself. When I called the store for help, they sent Kelly — and I’m so grateful they did. She was so kind and patient, taking the time to teach me and explain everything in a way I could understand. Thanks to her, my husband’s tank is thriving and more beautiful than ever. It brings me such comfort to see it every day. Kelly truly went above and beyond, and I can’t thank her enough.”
