About
The Reptile Depot in Easton, Pennsylvania wears its name honestly, but step inside the compact storefront and you'll find a freshwater fish room that has quietly earned its own loyal following across the Lehigh Valley. Rows of clean, orderly aquariums sit alongside the reptile enclosures, and regulars consistently describe the tanks as lively and well-maintained. One aquarist who comes specifically for the aquarium side of the store called out a great Corydoras selection and healthy fish all around.
Owner Pat runs the shop with his wife, and his hands-on knowledge is the real engine here. Customers shopping for fish describe walking out with everything they needed plus genuine, unhurried advice, with no pressure and no upsell. If you're after freshwater fish for sale in Easton, PA, the selection rewards a closer look: locally bred freshwater fish, neocaridina shrimp, live aquarium plants, and a rotating cast of aquatic creatures that has, at times, included tanks of hand-sized axolotls.
Several reviewers single out some of the most beautiful goldfish they've seen in the area. Pricing is a recurring theme. Hobbyists who drive an hour or more report the value justifies the trip, with fair prices on livestock and equipment and stock focused on what keepers actually need rather than big-box filler.
As one regular put it, this is the kind of local fish store worth getting off the couch to support. The atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, with reptile-themed jewelry, candles, and small gifts near the counter to keep kids engaged while parents browse the tanks. But the real draw is the relationship: Pat remembers customers and their animals, checks in on how things are going, and treats first-timers and longtime keepers with the same patience.
For Easton-area fishkeepers looking for healthy freshwater livestock, with corydoras and goldfish available close to home and someone behind the counter who genuinely cares about husbandry, The Reptile Depot delivers far more than its name suggests.

Customer reviews
“So helpful and great customer service! Worth the drive for a beautiful selection of reptiles and service!!”
— bethany lutz5.0a day ago“I’ve bought 2 snakes from this establishment, 1 baby ball python last year whom is doing very very well & has grown happy and healthy, I’ve been coming to this location since to pick up live mice consistently, unaware of any other pet store locally in the Lehigh valley supplying live feed for our reptiles. Many many of the recent negative reviews are from people who live 2+ hours away and have never actually stepped foot in the location. I have never seen missing limbs on any animals, UNLIKE petsmart and other organized pet stores, I have NEVER seen a dead fish floating in the tanks of this location. I have NEVER seen an over priced reptile at this location . The prices of reptiles at this location are priced to sell, compared to the prices of organized pet stores let pet supplies and pet smart where they over price their reptiles to make a large profit, and can’t even correctly label their reptiles with morphology . You never know what you’ll buy from those stores. But you’ll always know what reptile you’re buying from this local small business .”

We chose Reptile depot because they were hands down the cleanest place, best options, great value and the owner Pat is great with providing us with all the information we needed as a beginner snake owner.”

The owner was super kind, and clearly beyond well informed in what it takes to not only run a store but to keep all the animals happy.
