Not only were they the most reasonably priced ferrets (in comparison, the main chain, Pet Co they are over 500$ after taxes) but they also sell ferrets that are quite tame and ready for homing. I have gotten ferrets from other places and they were all very “bitey” and needed breaking from that habit. Probably because ferrets at other places they are thrown in a tank with 5 other ferrets and never handled regularly so they get used to biting their tank mates and people while waiting for adoption. The ferrets I got from Josh, were handled everyday by the shop and usually only 2 to a cage. Both ferrets I bought from here have been the most amazing additions to my family. They are so gentle and so sweet and they were so easily pee pad trained and I feel that is because they were sharing a cage with one other ferret so they instinctively go to the bathroom in one designated corner to maintain cleanliness of their area. So pee pad training is a breeze. (In comparison, chain stores put them in an Octagon shaped tank with no designated corners and 5 cage mates who go to the bathroom wherever) this is worth noting bc one of the most frustrating things with ferrets is training them to go to the bathroom in designated spots. At this point the only place I will buy a ferret now is from Josh.”
