We love this place. We will never go to another chain pet store again. We have gotten fish, our beardies & supplies for our pets. They are unbelievably knowledgeable & always answer all my questions! The owner Josh & all his employees are great! They are so helpful & we love that they will get out the animals to show us, even the baby snakes! It’s awesome seeing Manny, the monitor, walk around the store when he's out & about. You wont be disappointed going to this place. We tell everyone to go here!

Amazing reptile and aquatic store, it’s super clean and the employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. Top tier store. Our Nova is the healthiest gecko and thriving! I will definitely be back to get fish friends!

Great experience! We have been in this shop several times over the last few weeks building our fish tank. It's been a fun experience coming in and working with the staff to learn and slowly gather the supplies and fish to make sure our tank is successful. The owner has spent a lot of time working with us as we asked a lot of questions and worked through what kinds of fish do best together. The gentleman who works the fish area has been amazing as well. All other staff members have been a pleasure to work with, even if the fish area not been their area of expertise. It is clear everyone really enjoys working there. It is also clear they are dedicated to providing quality and healthy animals instead of just selling whatever they can slam in the store. We are very happy to have this shop in the area, especially after having a not so great experience with a manager at one of the big chain stores! Much happier to support a local shop!

Definitely recommend getting fish here. The plants look amazing, but they do have some pest snails. The last couple of times I was in, it was awkward getting help. No one offered to help both times. On my last trip, I almost didn't purchase anything because the 2 girls changing out the water blocked almost all the tanks and wouldn't acknowledge anyone but each other. The one who eventually did help me shouldn't have been. She didn't know anything about aquatic plants.

Highly recommend Appalachian Reptiles & Aquatics! My husband and I have been shopping at Appalachian Reptiles & Aquatics for little over a year now and everytime we go in the staff is extremely helpful and super nice! Shout out to Brooks because he is very knowledgeable and educational when we ask him questions regarding our fish tanks and aquatic plant :)
