About
Premier Aquatics is one of metro Atlanta's standout aquarium stores, drawing hobbyists from across the region — some driving an hour or more — to its clean, well-organized showroom in Marietta, GA. Healthy freshwater and saltwater livestock sit side by side, so longtime reefers and brand-new fishkeepers browse the same aisles. The coral selection is a real draw: customers rave about thriving acropora and beautifully colored frags, with one regular reporting the acros he bought came home gorgeous and thriving.
If you're hunting for corals or reef-ready saltwater fish for sale in Marietta, GA, this aquarium store is a frequent first stop. The freshwater side runs just as deep. Shoppers come for live plants, cherry and red rili neocaridina shrimp, bettas, rope fish, African cichlids, and hard-to-find community species — one customer even called ahead for longfin leopard danios and found them set aside and waiting.
The team is known for tracking down unusual fish and following up months later when a special request finally turns up in stock. Searching for planted-tank shrimp or rare freshwater fish near me? Premier's tanks turn over often, and the staff, many of them hobbyists themselves, clearly know their livestock.
Beyond fish, the shop carries a full range of dry goods, aquarium equipment, substrates, and UNS tanks, with driftwood and rocks piled outside for aquascapers. Staff like Isabella and Marci, along with manager Jakub, are repeatedly singled out for patient, knowledgeable help — from calibrating a first saltwater tank to chasing down a vendor to make a botched equipment order right. A dedicated service team will assemble and install a complete aquarium setup in your home, and technicians handle emergency leak repairs when a build goes sideways.
Prices here run higher than some competitors, a point reviewers raise honestly, but the consensus across more than a thousand reviews is that the livestock health, selection, and genuine expertise justify the trip. For Marietta and greater Atlanta aquarists, Premier Aquatics keeps earning its name.

Customer reviews
“Nice place, good variety of stock. But it’s crazy expensive and over priced. Be prepared to pay over double or triple what you would elsewhere.”

— sheri H5.02 weeks ago“My absolute favorite aquarium shop in the Metro area. Marci and her team are such professional… educated, knowledgeable, and clearly skilled and passionate about their work. Most of the team are hobbyists too. I learn something new every time I patron the shop. They are slightly pricier than your run-of-the-mill aquarium stock shop, but the quality is unbeatable for at least anything live or gear related. A must must must shop if you keep fish and other aquatics. Cheers!”

— Blake Sherman5.03 weeks ago“We had been looking for a specific type of fish for such a long time and had reached out to multiple fish stores with no luck. The staff here was incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. What really stood out was that they remembered us and followed up months later when the fish finally came back in stock. Their customer service went above and beyond, and they genuinely cared about helping us find exactly what we were looking for. We really appreciated all of their help and highly recommend them!”
— Tillman Emo5.04 weeks ago“So I came across this place on TikTok and google and was extremely excited bc I am getting into freshwater fish. But was extremely disappointed upon entering the store, nobody greeted us when we came in and there was this weird energy. I am disabled so at first I thought that might be it, and then I thought maybe it’s bc we’re colored but then I saw some other colored folks so that couldn’t be it either. But then I saw similar reviews to mine. So I’m just not sure what’s happening in that store with the employees. They must not like being bothered with ppl who are new to the hobby, but that sucks to suck bc you in a fish store and need to help ppl who are spending their hard earned money on these fish. Especially with the way they are priced in that store. Very frustrating and disappointing, I’m not sure if I will be back I did love the lay out and I was able to get around with my rollator fine so that was a plus but I did not like how I felt in that store. Please do better”
— Kayla Williams2.04 weeks ago“Very friendly and knowledgeable group. Wonderful selection of fish. Wish I had gone sooner! Heading there to buy an aquarium today!”
— James Morrel5.0a month ago“The staff was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The aquarium that I purchased was cheaper than Amazon!!!”
— Grady Tallent5.0a month ago“The staff are friendly and I like the stock they keep. However the prices are high compared to other local and online retailers, sometimes ridiculously so. They have red rili neocaradina shrimp for 8.99 a pop which feels like nearly double what I typically see them for at other retailers, as an example. However I do feel like I see unique offerings here that make it worth a visit!”
