Tucked into Winter Garden, Florida, Aquamania Aquarium Store has built a devoted following among Central Florida fishkeepers — some driving an hour and a half each way just to browse the tanks. It's a family-owned operation that punches well above its square footage, packing an impressive diversity of freshwater and saltwater livestock into a compact, meticulously maintained space. The freshwater side is where Aquamania really shines.
Reviewers consistently call out the live plant selection as the largest they've encountered in the region, with healthy specimens suitable for everything from planted community tanks to axolotl setups. 99, and the store offers multi-purchase deals that make stocking a nano tank easy on the wallet. Blue rams, neons, snails, and a rotating cast of freshwater species fill rows of crystal-clear tanks.
One customer came in for a couple of plants and left with an entire nano shrimp setup, fish included. The saltwater section, while smaller than dedicated reef shops, carries corals, sea anemones, tangs, and cowfish among other marine species. Display tanks throughout the store showcase beautifully aquascaped environments that double as inspiration for customers planning their own builds.
Staff member Benjamin earns repeated praise for his approachable, knowledgeable assistance, and the family atmosphere carries through every interaction. Aquamania stays connected to its customer base through an active Instagram page that previews new arrivals, and the team responds quickly to online inquiries — a detail that matters when you're hunting for specific livestock. Prices across the board land at or below other local fish stores, with some of the best neon tetra pricing in the area.
The store's small footprint can feel cramped on busy weekends, so a weekday visit offers a more relaxed browsing experience. But the quality of the livestock, the cleanliness of the tanks, and the genuine enthusiasm of the staff make Aquamania a destination worth planning around.

This shop was amazing!! We went the other day and picked up some plants to put in my axolotl tank. The plants were so healthy and my axolotls love them! The owners weren’t there but there was a super nice guy running it for a few weeks and he was super nice and helpful. There’s so many cool options, would definitely recommend.

My husband and I were traveling from Tampa to spend a night out in Orlando. We found this gem and we're mesmerized! We spent a couple hours taking everything in. Instead of going out like we planned, we ended up staying in and talking the whole night about this place. Today we stopped again on the way home. The plan was to grab a couple plants and get ideas for when our three tanks are ready for fish. We did get lots of ideas and have lists of what we want. Yes, we did get plants. But we also left with an entire nano set up for shrimp, including shrimp, fish and a snail. I'm currently watching them explore and zoom around. We couldn't be happier with this business!!!! The selection is top notch! The prices absolutely CANNOT be beat!!! But the family who owns it is what makes us excited to come back when we're ready to stock our tanks!!! See you soon!!!
