Walk into Aquarium Show in Sunrise, Florida, and the first thing you'll notice is how clean everything is. Tanks gleam, livestock looks vibrant, and the sheer variety on display — freshwater, saltwater, corals, live plants, axolotls — can easily swallow an hour of browsing. 8 rating, this South Florida shop has built a serious reputation among hobbyists across Broward County and beyond.
The saltwater section draws coral enthusiasts and reef keepers with quality frags and marine fish that impress even veterans of the hobby. One 35-year coral collector called his first visit "AMAZING," praising the fish stock and coral quality. Customers have walked out with Sohal tangs and built entire reef setups with guidance from the staff.
On the freshwater side, the selection ranges from celestial pearl danios and golden dojo loaches to bettas and axolotls, plus a plant section that rivals dedicated aquascaping shops — species you simply won't find at chain stores. Staff names come up constantly in reviews: Elijah, Donato, and Jason each get singled out for their depth of knowledge. Donato has been praised for examining customers' existing corals, diagnosing issues, and offering treatment advice with zero sales pressure.
Elijah routinely teaches experienced hobbyists something new. This level of hands-on consultation is a genuine draw — people bring in their problems and leave with actionable solutions. Prices run slightly above big-box retailers, which is expected given the livestock quality and specialized inventory.
The store stocks equipment, dry goods, and supplies alongside its living inventory, making it a legitimate one-stop destination for tank builds. A few customers have reported issues with sick fish and mixed experiences with returns, so exercising standard quarantine practices is always wise. But the overwhelming consensus from Sunrise's aquarium community is clear: Aquarium Show delivers healthy, diverse livestock backed by staff who genuinely know their craft.
It's a store built by hobbyists, for hobbyists.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Aquarium Show USA is absolutely outstanding! I have never seen an aquarium store so clean, organized, and beautifully maintained. The fish are healthy and clearly very well cared for. The staff is exceptional — friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. You can truly feel their passion and dedication. I am absolutely delighted. One of the best aquarium stores in Florida. Highly recommended!

O que mais gostei? A limpeza e a organização, em primeiro lugar, logo os peixinhos coloridos, alegres, saltitantes e o ambiente sereno, devido a iluminação que acalma a alma.🌾🍀🌾

Was a great experience. I had a fantastic experience with Donato at Aquarium Show. He is very, very customer-oriented and truly takes the time to help without any pressure to buy. He gave me tons of helpful information, and even had me bring in my corals so he could look at them, explain what was going on, and treat them. Amazing service and knowledge I highly recommend!

This place claims to give “expert advice” but in my experience it is far from that. I came in originally looking to buy ember tetras, but the employee Elijah convinced me to get celestial pearl danios instead. I trusted his advice and ended up with a group of five males and one female — something I didn’t know was a problem at the time, but he insisted it was okay and that they would just “show off” for her. I also explained that my tank runs hot, between 78-83, and he assured me that these fish would he 100% okay. Another lie. After doing my own research and realizing how stressed my single female was from constant chasing, I went back to ask for more females. They told me they only had one left, but when I got home and acclimated the fish, it turned out to be another male. I was eventually offered to exchange some of the males for females — all of which have since died, likely due to the stress caused by poor advice. I later also realized that these are cold water fish. I’ve spent weeks trying to stabilize the situation and care for the remaining fish, including buying an expensive chiller, but the experience has been extremely stressful and disappointing. The store’s carelessness and lack of accountability caused unnecessary suffering and stress for both me and the fish.

Everything you need as an Aquarium fish hobbist.. very knowledgeable staff. Prices are slightly higher than chain stores. Wide array of plants and you can obtain some species of fish here that you won't get in a chain store. I can spend a lot of time here easily taking it all in.
