One of the first things I noticed after they took over was that I could actually walk through the front door without my nose immediately filing a formal complaint. No offense to the previous owners, but back in the day you knew there were rodents and fish tanks in the building before you even reached the register. These days, the smell is practically nonexistent, which is a small miracle considering how many animals they have. The store always seems to have something new going on, whether it's new products, new reptiles, new fish, or some interesting critter you weren't expecting to see. They specialize in feeder rodents (live and frozen), reptiles, fish, and pet rodents, but one of the coolest things is that they have prairie dogs. How often do you walk into a pet store and casually find yourself saying, "Well, there's a prairie dog"? The new owners have done an amazing job revamping the inside of the store. Everything feels cleaner, more organized, and more inviting than ever before. It's obvious they care about both the animals and the customer experience. Overall, Treasure Cove is one of those dangerous places where you stop in to buy one thing and leave 30 minutes later wondering if your life would be improved by owning a prairie dog. Five stars.”

Either way very limited selection on freshwater fish and unpleasant smell, employees were engaging something i could care less for as im in a shop for a reason, dont need help unless asking, just wanted to browse but no reason to stay or purchase when theres only a handful of bland freshwater fish, the saltwater selection was even worse, most of the tanks were empty. Seems like this is a very selective shop or not doing so well, overall ive been to quite a few small shops and this is the worst ive been to yet, Lakeland Nolans fish store is by far the best and they also sell pinkies and rodents so I do not understand how this place smelled the way it does. Prices were around the same as petco as far as fish goes, which is like 10mins away and petco has far superior supples and better pricing imo, the name of this store does not reflect the establishment other than maybe its location.”
