About
Aquarium Kingdom III sits on Oakland Boulevard in Oakland Park, FL, and it's one of the area's better-stocked aquarium stores for both freshwater and saltwater hobbyists. Step inside and the floor is neatly split into a freshwater side and a saltwater side, each lined with clean, well-tended tanks. " If you're shopping for saltwater fish, corals, or live plants for sale in Oakland Park, FL, this is the kind of place reef keepers in particular single out for the quality and variety of coral on display.
On the freshwater side you'll find community fish, cichlids, and a solid spread of live plants, plus the dry goods and supplies needed to keep a system running. Longtime customers point to a core staff — Ana (also spelled Anna), Moses (Mo), and Cameron — as the reason they keep coming back, describing a team that treats regulars like family and takes the time to walk beginners through setting up their first tank. Cameron earns repeat shout-outs for knowledgeable, patient service.
" The store also offers on-site water testing (note there's a charge for it) and hands-on consultation for newcomers planning a build. As with any busy shop, service can vary, and a few visitors have mentioned feeling overlooked on slower days — but the broader pattern points to helpful, hobby-savvy guidance. For anyone in the Oakland Park area building or maintaining a freshwater community tank or a reef setup, Aquarium Kingdom III is an aquarium store worth knowing, with corals, cichlids, and community fish available in Oakland Park, FL.

“Fish were gravely mistreated with tanks as big as then with no life in the tanks at all with pvc pipes thrown in the water the shark tank was so sad. My day got worse just by going in that place also it reeked of mold”

— Chriskacz Kacz5.04 weeks ago“If I could give zero stars, I would. I stopped by this store with a friend who’s really into aquariums and was hoping to find some new additions for her setup. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The store itself had a strong, unpleasant smell—almost dirty or moldy—which made it uncomfortable to spend time inside. On top of that, the employee working there wasn’t very friendly or helpful when we had questions. What bothered me the most, though, was seeing a small shark kept in a tank that was clearly far too small for it—barely larger than the animal itself. It was constantly swimming back and forth in a way that looked like pacing, which was honestly upsetting to watch. It raised serious concerns about how the animals are being kept and where they’re even sourced from. That animal deserves to be in the ocean—not confined to a tiny tank in a store or someone’s home. It didn’t sit right with me at all, and I don’t understand how situations like this are even allowed. Overall, not a great experience.”

— Ben Lifland5.0Edited 2 months ago“Was interested in starting an aquarium and saw this business on Oakland blvd, I walked in and looked around at the assortment of fish with many questions… unfortunately the guy who worked there was not helpful or friendly, went asked questions he seemed almost bothered. I knew nothing about the layout of the store which I had to discover myself that it divided into fresh water and saltwater. I wanted to start a salt water talk but by the end of my visit my experience was so bad I just left. While the guy behind the tank scoffed and continued to clean a tank. Apparently this place make that kind of money where we need them more that they need the public….”
