About
Agocs Exotics in North Fort Myers, FL is a family-owned reptile and exotic animal store, and while it sits here in our fish store directory, regulars know it first and foremost as Southwest Florida's go-to shop for reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, and feeder animals. If you keep a planted vivarium or a bioactive setup alongside your aquariums, it's well worth the trip out to the Foxmoor Shopping Center. The store recently moved into a much larger space, and longtime customers are thrilled.
'The new location is huge,' one reviewer wrote, calling it always kept in immaculate shape. The selection runs deep: crested geckos, ball pythons (one customer happily brought home an enchi clown), sand boas, yellow rat snakes, bearded dragons, pixie frogs, and an unusually broad range of tarantulas and jumping spiders are all for sale in North Fort Myers, FL. A dad who drove nearly an hour from Naples called it 'a specialty shop that carries a lot of items the other stores don't,' and walked out with a bold jumping spider his son now carries around the house.
Feeders are a genuine draw. Reviewers describe pre-weighed, well-packaged rats, live pinkies, and fatty super worms, with one regular calling Agocs 'the only place in Southwest Florida' that stocks them. Feeder insects, cages, substrates, and reptile supplies are all available in North Fort Myers, FL, usually at prices customers describe as refreshingly fair.
What people praise most is the staff. The owner and crew are repeatedly called passionate and deeply knowledgeable, happy to walk first-time keepers through a full enclosure setup and even assemble a terrarium on the spot. A few experienced hobbyists find the unsolicited advice a bit much, but the overwhelming majority leave feeling welcomed and better informed.
For reptile and amphibian enthusiasts around Fort Myers, animal welfare clearly comes first here, and the passion is obvious the moment you walk in.

“Great clean environment! Super knowledgeable!!”
— Kevin Butler5.04 days ago“Found this place online while searching for jumping spiders for my son. Made a few stops at other places but this is definitely a specialty shop that carries alot of items the other stores don't carry. We live in naples but shop mostly in Lee County as naples lacks selection and is also way over priced. Its was almost an hour drive for us one way, but my son is super happy with his new male bold jumping spider. He brings the tarantula crib everywhere he goes in the house with him. He even placed his tablet next to the enclosure with jungle sights and sounds, "to make the spider more comfortable" 😂”
— john faur5.06 days ago“I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with this reptile shop. It’s clear how much time, effort, and care goes into the animals and the business as a whole. The owner is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about reptiles, and always willing to answer questions and help customers make informed decisions. The animals are well cared for, the enclosures are clean, and you can tell their health and wellbeing are a top priority. Small businesses like this require an incredible amount of hard work behind the scenes, and it shows in the quality of service and dedication provided every day. I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone looking for reptiles, supplies, or trustworthy advice.”
— Jacey Kalin5.0a week ago“I have been a raising tarantulas for years. When I found Agocs Exotics I stopped going anywhere else. What i think is funny is when people show up to the store on the only day they are closed and then leave a bad review cause they weren't open. The hours are on the stores front door. Anyways they are the best family business I have seen in years. A must see for any hobbiest.”
— Douglas Wheeler5.0a week ago“Every time I go up there they're closed it says till 7:00 on the door everyday but no one's there till 7:00 especially for us working folk so I'm highly annoyed this is the second time it's happened 😔”
— Xena “Xee” Sarah1.0a week ago“Offers more feeder options than any local petstore. Glad I found them. I no longer have to deal with online shipments from companies with terrible customer service, no shipment, late shipments and sick feeders...etc. So far I've been happy with Agocs Exotics!”
— H Cameron5.04 weeks ago“Actual pets available are mostly crested geckos, but they have good prices on feeders, cages and reptile supplies. Very friendly and knowledgeable people.”
— Jeremiah Nichol5.0a month ago“Great people! Wonderful animals! Love them!”
