Walk into Ocean View Aquariums in Miami and you'll notice the pristine tanks first — reviewers consistently praise the store's cleanliness and the health of its livestock. This is a saltwater-focused operation with a coral collection that catches the eye and a nano saltwater fish selection that regulars say outpaces competitors in both variety and price. Their rare macro algae section, including dragon's breath, draws collectors looking for something beyond the usual offerings.
3 gallon setup and had it delivered and installed the next day. That full-service approach extends to custom aquascaping and RO/DI system setup, making Ocean View a place where you can walk in with a vision and walk out with a functioning reef. They sell both natural seawater and synthetic saltwater by the gallon, a practical touch for Miami's reef-keeping community.
Staff members like Sylvina, Joel, and Elisa earn repeated praise by name. Sylvina has been credited with spending hours walking newcomers through tank cycling and care routines step by step, writing down instructions to take home. Joel and Elisa have guided customers through complete saltwater build-outs from tank selection to coral placement.
The educational aspect of shopping here comes up again and again — people call with questions and get real answers. Yellow tangs arrive looking healthy and vibrant. The fish selection skews marine, and the pricing is described as competitive across the board.
Water testing is available, though it does come with a small fee, which has rubbed a few customers the wrong way. For Miami's saltwater hobbyists, Ocean View Aquariums delivers a combination of curated livestock, hands-on expertise, and turnkey services that's hard to match. The staff's willingness to invest time in each customer's success is what keeps people coming back.

Never bought a fish from them that’s survived ! Owner super aggressive and money hungry!! I will never set foot in that place again! Great staff owner Not friendly, aggressive and money hungry ! Does not back up his life stock !! Stay away or best of luck !! Such a chame ! Local business I would have totally supported !! I know we will have fish pass but not 95% of them pass from this local shop… He gives no guarantee once you take them..many other places worth visiting ! Just my advice ! Save your money !! He doesn’t even medicate his new arrivals ! All about saving a penny and cutting corners..

The owner is very hands on. The staff is really knowledgeable and providing great feedback. Doesn’t feel like you are being sold on things. They allow you to browse and the overall experience was great. They provide both sea and synthetic water options by the gallon. I picked up several fish and they are beautiful and alive. The yellow tangs look great and are really healthy. The flow and look of the store is nice as well.

I go to other Aquariums and never get charged to test the water. I think this is really petty because we're buying other things. Mind you, I came here and paid for the test and left the things I was going to buy. I will continue going to the other places. I just wanted to try a new one.

If i could give more stars i would, this place is wonderful, fish look happy all the time, place super clean, and the staff everyone are capable and pro on what they do. Sylvina has been a lifesaver for my tank. She has been with me hours explaining me how everything works and she will take her time to explain step by step writing down what i need to succeed. This lady is a pro, she is the reason why i am exciting to continue this hobby. This store has a gem and that is sylvina❤️. I’ll be back soon. If you want to succeed on this hobby and you do not know what to do, you must come to this store.
