Tucked into Jensen Beach, Florida, Fintastic Aquariums has quietly built a devoted following over nearly two decades — the kind of store where customers drive two and a half hours from Orlando because the selection and prices outperform bigger-city competitors. This is a saltwater-only operation, and owner Carl and his team have leaned into that focus with impressive results. The shop is compact — multiple reviewers note the tight square footage — but what's packed inside punches well above its weight class.
Rows of immaculately maintained tanks house vibrant saltwater fish and a rotating inventory of corals that Carl refreshes weekly. Invertebrates, crustaceans, and rock flowers round out the livestock, and the store stocks a solid range of supplies, chemicals, and equipment for nano tanks up through larger reef setups. One reviewer picked up a 28-gallon nano tank on the spot; another mentioned planning a full tank-and-setup purchase.
What truly sets Fintastic apart is the depth of expertise behind the counter. The staff includes a marine biologist, and the team regularly fields questions about sick fish, starter corals, and tank chemistry without rushing anyone — one family didn't even realize the store had closed because the staff kept patiently answering their son's questions. That willingness to steer customers away from products that aren't a good fit, rather than push a sale, has earned fierce loyalty across Martin and St.
Lucie counties. The store also runs a water-changing and tank maintenance service, with Dom handling regular visits that customers describe as convenient, affordable, and meticulous. The service crew stays available by phone between appointments to troubleshoot issues in real time.
Pricing consistently undercuts online retailers, and a weekly specials mailing list rewards regulars who stop in to see what's new. For anyone maintaining a saltwater aquarium on Florida's Treasure Coast, Fintastic is the local fish store that earns its reputation week after week.

Great selection So far good quality. My only complaint, you're place is too small. Thank you for our wonderful additions and I am sure we will see you again soon.
