About
Exotic Sealife International Inc operates as a saltwater marine life wholesaler in Hialeah, Florida, serving as a key supplier for pet stores and aquarium businesses across the region. Multiple reviewers describe it as one of the best wholesalers of fish and corals in South Florida, and that reputation appears well-earned based on the volume and variety of saltwater livestock moving through the facility. The core business here is coral and marine fish distribution.
Customers consistently praise the selection of corals and saltwater species available, along with pricing that appeals to retailers looking for competitive wholesale rates. One long-time customer specifically called out the quality of corals and fair dealing over years of transactions. For businesses in the aquarium trade, having a wholesaler of this caliber nearby is a significant advantage — several reviewers note the convenience of sourcing livestock locally rather than shipping from distant suppliers.
The facility itself has a distinctly industrial, warehouse-style feel rather than the polished showroom aesthetic of a retail fish store. This is a working wholesale operation, and the atmosphere reflects that. Some visitors have noted the grounds could be better organized, though many also highlight the friendliness of the staff on-site.
The purchasing process involves ticketing and minimums typical of wholesale operations, so walk-in retail customers should be aware this is primarily a business-to-business establishment. International shipping has been a point of frustration for at least one prospective customer, suggesting the operation may be more focused on domestic distribution. That said, the sheer volume of saltwater livestock — from reef fish to a broad coral inventory — keeps retailers coming back.
For South Florida aquarium shop owners and marine aquarium service companies, Exotic Sealife International remains a primary source for quality saltwater livestock at wholesale pricing. The Hialeah location puts it within easy reach of Miami-Dade's thriving aquarium trade community.

But lady on the phone didn’t really try to help me( super sad) and at the end she just told me that it is impossible for me to get fish from them and it is impossible to ship it internationally. I don’t think you treat people like that. there are ways to ship corral and fish to European countries (and I was ready to do all the legal paperwork needed). Lady on the phone wanted people from different country (who don’t know language who don’t want to spend their time with paperwork and ordering , for that reason they sent me here) just send her order online for $ 50000 without looking at the corral without even checking the condition of the fish . Instead of trying to help me she just told me it is impossible , what kind of customer service is that. Absolutely disappointed with their service. If it was the owner I talked to , please hire somebody to do customer service job for you , but if it was just an employee , then it’s sad that people who don’t want your business to grow working for you.i will try to call the other day hopefully Somebody else will pick up the phone and will help me to find a solution of how to send fish abroad.”

Mediocre selection of live stock (convenient having near my warehouse) but not a minute or a dollar I would waste here ever again. Been hounding for a month to email me stock list (after submitting business information), wait a half hour just to pay to then have Valerie with an attitude not know where my ticket is and change a minimum on me (what about all my previous purchases) and tell me who the hell needs a price list. Have 2 cases of “customers” purchasing directly. Like I said earlier it’s sad I got nicer quality, service and selection across the United States having a wholesaler down the road! But it’s clear the direction this establishment is heading. You just lost a very good business relationship but wish you the best!”

— Phil Cavallini5.06 years ago“Worst place ever. It's dirty and nasty, and the owner is money hungry and rude and that fish guy(dark one) is loud and obnoxious. The poor employees are nice but look miserable. If you want your overpriced fish and coral to die in 3 days, shop here!”
