The owner is very professional and personable. Also, he is knowledgeable and trustworthy. He is the best and I have been to quite a few stores including the big ones in Tampa and Orlando. You cannot go wrong with Coral Zoo.

Honestly one of the best local fish stores I’ve ever been to! The owners are there pretty much every day and really take the time to help you understand the hobby, not just sell you stuff. Their fish and coral selection is always awesome, and they’ll even help you track down something special if you’re looking for it. They were voted Best of Florida 2025 in the Pet Store category and it’s easy to see why. Great people, healthy livestock and just an all around great place to go whether you’re new to saltwater or have been at it for years.

I have purchased a couple of fish from this place and the first one died within a couple of days, of course they say no warranty. The second one I got was recently and I had no idea but the person who maintains my tank said it’s infested with parasites. Now all of my fish in my tank are sick and I have spend hundreds of dollars trying to get them all back to health. I’m on week 3 of doing everything I can. Now that I know what parasites look like, my poor fish are suffering and the fish I got from this place is horrible. The quality fish you get from this place is horrible, they don’t take accountability for anything. Save your money guys, Petco has healthier fish than this place!

We enjoyed the salt water tanks and coral. Thanks so much for letting us view. We were seeking freshwater, and yes they did have one small tank of freshwater, but everything looked healthy, pretty and the guys seem helpful!
