" This family-run shop, helmed by Carlos and his brother, has earned a devoted following among saltwater and freshwater hobbyists across the Houston metro area — and it's easy to see why. The coral selection is the star attraction. Colorful frags and colonies in all shapes and sizes sit in crystal-clear water, rivaling the kind of display you'd expect from a high-end reef store.
Prices stay grounded, too, which is a refreshing contrast to competitors charging premium rates for comparable livestock. The aquarium rock selection is similarly well-priced, with customers noting savings of several dollars per pound compared to other shops. Beyond the reef side, The Fish Bowl stocks a solid variety of freshwater fish and carries tanks in multiple sizes.
Several repeat customers have purchased multiple aquariums here, a testament to both the product quality and the buying experience. The staff takes a consultative approach — patient enough to field an endless stream of beginner questions about cycling a new 55-gallon saltwater setup, yet respectful enough to give you space to browse without hovering. That balance of attentiveness and ease defines the store's personality.
Erick greets customers at the door, Carlos walks hobbyists through beneficial bacteria recommendations for stubborn ammonia spikes, and the overall vibe is one of genuine enthusiasm shared between staff and customers. It's a shop where people come back for years, not out of convenience, but loyalty. For Pearland-area aquarists looking for healthy saltwater fish, vibrant corals, and honest guidance from people who clearly love what they do, The Fish Bowl and More delivers on every front.
Bring the kids — they'll be mesmerized.

The Fish Bowl in Pearland has the “Great Miniature Reef!” A beautiful, fascinating, amazing, assortment of colorful, live, coral - in all shapes and sizes- in the coolest, clearest water, and you don’t have to learn how to Scuba or Snorkel to see it! The kids will absolutely love this place and you’ll love the prices and the service!

No im not Sponsored! I just really loved the store. They have a wide variety of coral and fish both fresh and marine. Aquarium rocks were very reasonably priced compared to most places that charge $7-8 lb. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They also don’t hover the entire time and let you enjoy shopping which I appreciated. Highly recommend and will be going again because it’s my new favorite marine store! UPDATE! I was having a really hard time with super high ammonia starting my 55 gal and they recommended another bottle of beneficial bacteria and that literally did just the trick thank you guys so much again. 😁

Really great shop lots of saltwater corals and fish. The wife and I have bought plenty of tanks from them and will keep buying from them. Carlos and his brother are awesome guys and help with any questions. Believe me I know how I drove them nuts asking so many questions when I first started the saltwater tank.
