We purchased 3 dumbo rats right after the first of the year, we called before going to reserve 3 baby females and to let them know we would be there in an hour. By the time we got there they had sold one of our babies but offered us a teenager. We shouldn't have taken her but did anyway, we weren't even offered a reduced cost for the one. She was leaking porphyria but they said they were treating her, I asked about a health guarantee and never got an answer and asked what they were treating with. I was told just something they put in the water. Called several times to confirm what treatment was so we could inform our vet at her visit. Never got an answer, either no one knew or the rodent person was out. All 3 were infested with lice. Started our own antibiotic to get her through until the vet visit. I spent THREE HOURS picking lice and mites off this teenager, then another hour picking them off the babies. Teenager started a steady decline, got to the vet and diagnosed with pneumonia. I have vet bills of $200 for a rat that passed away from her lice infestation and pneumonia, despite treatment, barely a week after bringing her home. I can provide said invoices for treatment and meds as well as photos of how many bugs I picked off just the teenager. So buyer beware. We will not be back.”

They carry so much stuff for such a small store. It's locally owned and they've even been willing to order odds and ends I was looking for for my pets. I've got a cat, a rat, 3 snakes as well as my roommates having birds and amphibious critters and we can get everything in one place! Plus the idea of supporting a local business is always great. All the bad reviews about smell and unprofessional behavior have been by angry people who can't tell a good shop when they see one. Come see it for yourself.”
