Scott at Tropical Fish Shoppe is extremely knowledgeable on all things freshwater. Whether it's breeding, compatibility, choosing the right plants, the right flow, the right fish for your tank, or the right tank for your fish, he will do good by you. Tropical Fish Shoppe has a huge inventory of aquatic life to select from, and if he doesn't have something you want, he can order you just about anything. He stands by his sales and live-stock, and is an incredible asset to the local freshwater community. If you're looking for Freshwater fish, plants, and dry goods, Tropical Fish Shoppe should be the only stop on your list.

This place is by far the best in town. Scott is super personable, his prices are extremely reasonable and his aquatic plants are top notch! We just re-did an entire 30 gallon tank with 90% stuff we got from Tropical Fish Shoppe! We are always happy with the quality of fish and products!

This is a fish staple! Beautiful freshwater fish, invertebrates and plants. They also sell the most unique and gorgeous Bettas I've ever seen. Worth every penny and very hardy livestock. I don't go anywhere else for my livestock.

In my honest opinion, this is the best local fish place here in Fargo, and their is no way around that. The owners are super friendly, and I could definitely tell they wanted to help. They have many plants, fish, and equipment for your tanks. Also, they have some more fun fish than you would see in like Pet smart. My favorite was the Red Devil which I linked a photo of. All round really great place would recommend getting fish here to anyone and they price fair.

This is my go to freshwater aquatic store in the area. Scott and Alexa are very knowledgeable owners, and carry a wide variety of fish and supplies. If they don't have it they can normally have it for you by their next shipment. I've purchased a majority of my fish and plants from here, and while I do shop elsewhere my experiences are much better here. Here are a couple of fish I've purchased there.
