About

Tucked into the Sunset Village shopping center in St. Louis, Seascape Studio is the metro area's dedicated saltwater and reef destination, a specialist aquarium store that has served local reefers long enough to earn a loyal, often weekly, following. This is a focused saltwater shop rather than a general pet store, and that singular attention shows in tanks regulars describe as immaculate and in reefscape displays gorgeous enough to stop you in your tracks.

The coral selection is the headliner. Recent visitors call the shop "jammed packed with corals and fish," with frag tanks running from beginner-friendly softies to sought-after colonies, all at prices customers consistently describe as fair. Staff member Nick has long been credited with stocking some of the best coral you can find in St.

99 per pound, remains a draw that is genuinely hard to match. If you are hunting saltwater fish for sale in St. Louis, MO, you will find reef-safe species alongside harder-to-find triggers, angelfish, and clownfish, plus an unusually deep invertebrate section that includes sea cucumbers, sponges, and feather duster worms.

Service is the other reason people keep coming back. New reefers single out Melissa, Chris, Joe, and Nick for patient, honest guidance; one regular notes the crew will source whatever livestock or equipment you need and tell you straight if they cannot price match. When a customer bought a large tank setup, the team helped transport and set it up in his home.

Pre-mixed saltwater is available at 99 cents a gallon. For reef aquarium enthusiasts across the St. Louis, MO area, Seascape Studio offers healthy livestock, reasonable pricing, and the kind of focused saltwater expertise that rewards an unhurried, in-person browse.

  • “I walked into Seascape about a year ago after a bad experience at another LFS. I have visited nearly weekly since that time. Joe and Nick are always a pleasure, often I find myself staying longer than I should viewing livestock and learning more of this wonderful hobby. Any livestock or equipment I've needed they have been able to source, if they cannot price match, they will tell you. Their honesty is refreshing! I purchased a very large tank setup and they were readily available to help me transport and setup in my home. There are many reasons they've been in business so long, you should visit to find out.”

  • “Great selection of saltwater fish and corals. Owner and nice employee (I wish I had asked his name) were helpful and genuinely interested in the hobby and helping customers. I’m from 4 hrs away but will stop there anytime I’m in St.Louis. Somehow I spent an hour there looking and talking. Came away with a rare and unique fish I’ve never seen before.”

  • “I got this beautiful male betta from here about a week and a half ago I believe. He is SO colorful. I was hoping they would have had more freshwater fish like this, but also, the name is literally “seascape” so of course it’s going to be a saltwater fish store, that was my fault😂. The workers were SO kind and helpful. They even gave me free baby brine. They don’t keep their bettas in those horrible tiny cups like some fish stores, therefore these bettas are happier (hense the beautiful colors). They have such gorgeous saltwater aquariums to the point that I would honestly go there just to stare at the tanks and fish. 10/10 would recommend for your saltwater tank needs!”

  • “Very dismissive if you are a female! I would be highly cautious listening to any advice this store has to offer. They are incompetent, disrespectful, and straight up dangerous to work with. They will talk down to you, dismiss you, and even call you crazy! If I could give 0 stars, I would.”
