Awesome fish store with affordable fish. The staff is very knowledgeable, I usually work with Jenn, Dean or Dan and they go out their way to help out. Especially with selecting my Exotic Clown Fish. Stop by and you won’t regret it.

Jen at New Wave Aquaria is a terrible business owner. Go anywhere else!! I bought a fish, they said they would call when it comes in, they never did, I had to call and go in store when they said oh we’ve had it for weeks!?! The fish that was given to me (first time fish buyer) already sick but I didn’t know. My plan: get it quickly and safely in my aquarium while following all steps. Fish died a few hours later. I brought the fish and tank water for testing the next day. Jen was mad at me, very short and snappy caring way more about her feelings about the situation and didn’t care at all about mine. After not hearing anything for weeks I called and she was arguing and making accusations. I did a ton of research and spoke to experts and I know I didn’t do anything wrong. I disputed the charge on my CC and I received a nice accusation of fraud and theft and they plan to litigate.

Without a doubt one of the nicest, friendliest, and knowledgeable shops out there. Tanks, frags, and fish were all impeccable. I was visiting from out of town and was blown away. Thank you for all that you do, you’re a model for what’s possible.

This is the nicest saltwater store in the twin cities. I’m very fortunate to have this store to go to. Most states don’t have a store this nice. Great selection of corals, tons of products to look at, they have most of everything you’ll need so you won’t have to order online for supplies. The frag tanks and everything always looks very kept up including everything else, corals and fish always look very healthy. The staff and owners are extremely nice. If you see Dean in there he’s is a great employee to work with.

New Wave Aquaria is the only place I go now because the huge customer service help i get when I am there. My lights went down on my Aquarium and I had to send them in to EcoTech and the owner Jen has just been so amazing and helping me that I know no other store would do. Thank you guys you truly are amazing.

Not bad high prices for sure

Beautiful store and very knowledgeable, down to earth staff/management. My son had a summer class where he received a clownfish, coral, and learned the basics of salt water tanks. About a month in, we were having issues with stringy poop (thinking parasite) and the start of what looked like ich near his mouth. We stopped in thinking about medicating, but after chatting with the staff he recommended different food and some vitamins. Turns out our poor fish was super constipated and doing some inexpensive changes solved the issues. Staff member was also open about the fact the fish might die if it was ich/parasites and set realistic expectations. Will return again!
