Barrier Reef in Boca is hands-down the best saltwater fish store I’ve been to in South Florida! The selection of healthy fish, corals, and inverts is outstanding — you can tell they really take pride in the care and condition of their livestock. The tanks are immaculate, and everything is vibrant and thriving. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to help, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned reef enthusiast. They’ve given me great advice on tank maintenance, fish compatibility, and coral care that has made a huge difference in my setup. Prices are fair, and the quality is top-notch. They also carry a great range of equipment, supplements, and hard-to-find items you won’t see in big box stores. Highly recommend for anyone serious about saltwater aquariums — Barrier Reef is a gem in Boca!

Visiting the area for vacation and found this shop, it’s spectacular! A wide selection of fish and inverts. They had an absolutely HUGE 2+ foot common Pleco for sale, such a beautiful fish. Kelly was an amazing person to talk to and get an overview of the store. I might be able to teach a class on Koi and Goldfish later on. Really nice store and great people. Some of my favorite fish I saw are featured in the pictures.
