About
Tucked into Firestone, Colorado, Biggslagoon is a family-owned saltwater aquarium store that pulls reefers from across the Front Range — some happily drive an hour or more from Denver because, as the regulars put it, the trip is worth it. This is a marine specialist through and through, and reviewers routinely call it the best coral selection in Colorado: immaculate tanks lined with Wellso brain corals, duncans, and rock flower anemones, plus pieces longtime hobbyists say they'd never seen in person. Hunting for corals, clownfish pairs, tangs, or tiger pistol and skunk cleaner shrimp for sale in Firestone, CO?
The reef livestock here is healthy, vibrant, and well cared for, and the show tanks alone are worth the visit. What sets Biggs apart is the people. Dale, Josh, Nick, and the rest of the Biggs family treat every visit like a mentoring session — one newcomer described Dale spending over an hour walking them through saltwater fundamentals without a hint of impatience, and another returned years after tearing down a failed setup to be patiently coached back into the hobby.
Reviewers keep landing on the same word: community. You can walk in a stranger and leave with new friends and a tank full of confidence. Beyond livestock, the shop runs high-tech water testing that locals lean on weekly, stocks live phytoplankton that coral growers swear by, and handles tank setup, maintenance, and full relocations — one customer had a 45-gallon reef upgraded to a 120 and moved in a single day, the fish happier than ever.
Coral dipping, honest no-pressure advice, and consistently fair prices round out the experience, and dry goods, live rock, invertebrates, and reef equipment are all available in Firestone, CO. For Front Range saltwater keepers, Biggslagoon is the rare aquarium store that feels like visiting friends who happen to run an incredible reef shop.

— Christian Clark5.0a month ago“These guys are legit. I found them via a Reddit post from r/reeftank and took a chance one Friday night and jumped onto their live auction twitch stream. They were absolutely fantastic and the auctions were fair. Before I knew it I had been on the stream for 2.5 hours and completely lost track of time. They are a family owned business and it shows in how they care about their customers and their product. I had 9 corals shipped to me and everything was beautiful and healthy. Nick is absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable, helpful and most important honest. I will be getting all of my coral from Biggs Lagoon from here on out. Thank you all so much for what you do!!!”

— Alexandria Turney5.03 months ago“Biggs Lagoon has been an awesome experience for me. The coral quality is top notch, healthy, vibrant, and exactly as represented during their live sales(Fridays 6pm MST). You can tell their corals are well-grown and properly cared for. Shipping to Arizona has been smooth, and everything has arrived well-packed and in great shape. What really sets them apart though is the community. From the first live auction I joined, I felt welcomed, not just like another customer, but like part of the family. The atmosphere is supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun. I’m not affiliated in any way , just a grateful customer who appreciates quality coral and an even better community.”
— kyle petera5.04 months ago“Drove all the way here with two kids excited to see the fishies, we passed the place all the time and door clearly states open today (wednesday) they were not. Guy who answered the phone was very nice but I then had to drag two screaming kids back to the car both very upset. Only posting to get my point across, please update your door!”
— Jaelynn Landry2.04 months ago“Highly knowledgeable staff”
— John Louis Oliver5.04 months ago“These guys are certified pros. I came in just to look, and then Dale spent upwards of an hour just teaching me about how everything worked. I was totally new to salt water, but Dale broke it down so well and did not make me feel like I was annoying him or taking up his time. You could tell these people truly love these animals, and they will make sure youre set up to safely care for your new friends!”
