Always a great experience visiting Hammer Aquatics, the staff and owner are very knowledgeable in their craft to answer any question I ever might have as far as what to dose water with to fix irregularities, what to feed my fish, coral, etc.

Owners are super friendly and happy to help. They dont have a lot of fresh water fish yet but are adding. They do have a lot of salt water stuff. Definatley a good place to gain knowledge. I cant wait till they get more fish.

Came in near closing and loved the variety of salt water fish, I was there for fresh water but I could definitely appreciate the awesome salt water variety! I wish they had more stuff for fresh water aquariums, I was trying to ask him some questions about what my tank may need but he wasn’t very informative he kinda just slammed items on the counter and started getting me to check out…I felt rushed and pressured into just buying what he put on the counter with no explanation. I felt like he was annoyed for some reason and he said my pump would be $20 and then recommended a water treatment which should be no more than $12-15 being generous and the total came out the $45? I felt like he hustled me a little. They are a new store so maybe he still has learning to do and maybe more time to bring in fresh water options! Not my first choice but it’s local so I’ll return in a few months to see if his customer service and selection have improved. I’m a small business owner as well so I would like to give him the benefit of the doubt!

I was brand new to the hobby when I came here the first time. Found the guys incredibly friendly and extremely helpful with my many questions. Nice fish, corals and prices. Now six months later my tank is settled in and I’m really enjoying it.
