About
6-star average, it has earned its place as a genuine valley staple. Regulars describe a shop that's been around "forever" — some have been coming for upwards of 13 years — and they keep returning for the same reasons: clean tanks, healthy livestock, and staff who clearly love the hobby. Quinn and his family run the place alongside a team customers name by heart — Chris, Kendall, Bella, Brandon, Gavin, and Kyle all turn up again and again in reviews as people shoppers look forward to seeing.
The selection spans both worlds. You'll find freshwater fish, live plants, and freshwater shrimp and invertebrates for sale in Mesa, AZ, alongside a deep saltwater section with corals, reef stock, and prized marine fish — recent visitors have come in for everything from saltwater angelfish and tangs to a coveted Black Ghost Knifefish. " If you're searching for an aquarium store near me with real variety, this is the kind of place where there's always something new to see.
Beyond livestock, Aquarium Arts stocks aquarium equipment, lighting, fish food, décor, and the chemicals and medications hobbyists trust — more than one customer credits the team with saving a sick fish. Newcomers mention free water tests, patient guidance that never feels like an upsell, and real help getting a first tank set up and aquascaped. It isn't flawless — a few note slower service on busy days and that the freshwater shrimp run pricey — but the throughline is consistency.
Whether you're stocking a reef build or a planted freshwater tank, Aquarium Arts remains a welcoming Mesa, AZ shop where the staff treat the fish, and the people, with genuine care. There's even a Pokémon Go gym on site.

Customer reviews
“Good selection, but fish tanks are depressing to look at. Staff was not too friendly or willing to help. They did on the other hand refuse to sell some loaches because they weren't eating so that's good to know.. my first guess would be they had nowhere to hide and feel safe.”

— Richard Rusch5.06 days ago“This place is great have been going here for years and got a 125 gallon tank from them. Always have unique and fairly priced fish, inverts, and plants. Chris and the rest of staff are friendly. Edit: listen I have been going to this fish store for upwards of 13 years. They always have really good livestock fair prices. I gotta say this though why is the fish store asking for a tip? This is by far the most outlandish thing I’ve ever seen as far as asking for a tip.”
