Reef Life Aquariums

I was looking for a place to purchase a new fish. In my search I found l this establishment. I briefly read what the other reviews said and quickly decided that on this beautiful Saturday, I would take the 30 minute drive there. The location is a little bit odd as it is in what feels like should be business offices (see video), but there is plenty of parking and this location unlike most pet stores is focused solely on tank life! I absolutely love that because you’re gonna get higher quality, fish and supplies. Of course, they have freshwater and saltwater options available. Their selection of fish and supplies as well as rare things like axolotl and garden eels… is fantastic! The prices are very fair and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They provide you with instructions if it’s your first time purchasing from them so that your fish can have an easy transition to your tank. I noticed on the receipt it said no refunds and no guarantee where most of the bigger chain, pet stores allow for a refund within a certain time frame. Even so, this is definitely my new place to go to for fish and supplies and if I should ever need a new tank. A bonus… They’re open seven days a week!

Best fish store in birmingham. They have a huge selection of fresh water and salt water fish, corals, plants and even neocaridina shrimp The bettas all had their own individual large tanks, they were not in cups. I appreciate that a lot. Prices were very fair. I highly reccomend!

After a long time without an aquarium in the house, I decided it was time again. It's difficult to find a good aquarium store these days, which makes this one even better. There's a really good selection of both freshwater and saltwater fish as well as plants. The staff was knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I enjoyed talking about my upcoming tanks with them and appreciated their advice since I've been out of the hobby for a while. Looking forward to continuing doing business with them.

Nice selection of fish and supplies. The help was a very sweet girl but was a little overpowering in making her own recommendations without considering how experienced the customer may in fact be. I've been doing this 40 years. And while she is very sweet and helpful and a great salesperson I have a little more experience. But I really have nothing negative to say about the trip it was a great experience and I will be back

One of my most favorite shops in Birmingham, even casually browsing is a treat! I've been a customer here for a few years and every experience has been excellent. The livestock is active, very healthy and cared for, the hardscape options available are diverse, interesting, and creative from a large variety of driftwood, including bonsai, and a large variety of stone, the plants are robust and vibrant, the equipment and food for sale are high quality - often things that are difficult to find in most chain stores - and Michael and his staff are great. There are no sad bettas in tiny cups and unsafe painted aquarium decor here! I highly recommend fish keepers, or people interested in the hobby, to visit this shop.
