J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue

Love this place, friendly staff, healthy animals, 5 stars all the way. In 2023 we had one lovable ferret he seemed lonely but happy. We spotted Mazie and Daisy as we now call them at J&R in 2024 and fell in love with them. They adjusted super quickly and became a part of the family almost immediately. Later in 2024 we came across Minnow and Guppy and adopted them from J&R as well. They are all so sweet and spunky. We have had no health issues or behavioral issues. Just bliss with these baby’s. They have completed our little ferret family and all happily exist together.

I have adopted multiple parakeets from this rescue. And have visited this place more times than I can count my five year-old nephew, loves to come and look at the animals. And we all loved the turtles. John is a literal angel. I was without bird food one time I had lost my job and I called him and he gave me a huge bag of bird food. I will always remember his kindness when I needed it the most, and I will always go here for my parakeets.

Visited a while back. I would like to see them relocate to a better place, not on a bad side of town, and work way more with their incoming animals, including knowing proper diet and separating out the business end. They often push as many out the door as soon as they can, due to lack of help vs animal ratio (overload). There are many tasks that aren't taken care of daily that should be due to this as well. If they kept the load down to what they could take, realistically, they'd be fine. But they refuse to work with any other rescue not USDA certified, even those who may have a specialty into certain exotics. It's a shame to see someone working so hard and not sharing the load, even if offered. (Pic of indoor turtle tank)

I got my sugar gliders from here. Katara and Momo. Love them so much. The rescue is very clean and the staff is awesome!

If you want a reptile and help a good cause, it's a great place to go. Very knowledgeable on the animals and cares for all the animals. I believe they also do school showings for educational purposes. And the animals here, I believe, are surrendered, and he takes them in. Please support this business for the good that they do.
