## About

The Fish Store in Chamblee, Georgia occupies an unusual space in metro Atlanta's aquarium scene — a sprawling, warehouse-style operation that inspires both loyalty and frustration in nearly equal measure. With 432 reviews averaging 3.9 stars, it's a store that clearly evokes strong reactions.

Historically, The Fish Store built its reputation on one of the largest saltwater fish selections in the Atlanta area, stocked at prices that undercut the competition. Reviewers recall tubs of live rock, healthy coral frags at fair prices, and uncommon species you simply couldn't find elsewhere. Staff member Jackie earns repeated praise for her product knowledge and warm guidance, especially for newcomers setting up their first aquarium. Manuel also gets called out for friendly, attentive service. The store will even order specific fish if they don't have them in stock and offers aquarium servicing.

But the picture isn't uniformly rosy. A significant number of recent visitors report dirty tanks, dead or sick fish, misidentified species, and a general decline in both livestock quality and store upkeep. Several reviewers mention small sharks kept in inadequate tanks, a sight they found distressing. The no-return, no-exchange policy has burned customers who discovered problems after purchase — including one buyer who received dead snails mixed in with live ones. Phone calls reportedly go unanswered, and hours of operation haven't always matched what's posted.

The freshwater selection has thinned considerably, with multiple shoppers noting there's barely anything on the freshwater side anymore. Saltwater remains the stronger suit, with coral frags and exotic marine species still drawing hobbyists from across the metro area.

The Fish Store is the kind of place where you can still find something special — a rare saltwater specimen, a good deal on frags — but you need to go in with eyes open. Inspect livestock carefully, know what you're buying, and don't count on after-sale support. For experienced saltwater hobbyists willing to do their own due diligence, the selection and pricing can still make the drive to Chamblee worthwhile.

> 1 review because the lady is nice but y’all …. As a fish store you would think they would know how to take care of their fishes. Most of the fish are dead or sick . Barely any freshwater fish the saltwater fish looks miserable. There’s a small shark for sale for 2k and it looks so sad in that tank. Their prices is high for no reason! No returns or refunds. You’re better off at Petco or PetSmarts

> This shopsells items at prices several times higher than those at pet supermarkets. The selection is limited, and the prices are too high for what they should be,
