Broken Boundaries

Update** went back in hopes of a shipment. Tyler in the fish area was a great help this time. Beautiful little pet store with a nice wide selection of a little bit of everythingfor almost any pet. I was hoping for some real aquarium decore, I couldn't find much. Although a pretty significant fish area I was disappointed in the selection. Though, it did look like they may have been between shipments. Customer service was very much lacking. Didn't get asked once what I was looking for, if I needed help ect (and I walked the entire store since I had never been.) When I was ready for help, went to find someone to ask for it and could only find the guy running the register who had a line so I left.

Amazing aquatics section with beautiful aquariums for all of the fish. Very healthy fish as well. I had a particularly good experience while looking for bristlenose plecos, as when the aquatics employee saw how small the ones in the tank were, he offered me larger ones from a different tank. I ended up getting a for-sure male. Highly recommend!

I drive two hours to get here, and every minute is worth it. I’ve been working with Tyler in the aquatics department for quite some time, trying to find a stand for a tank I purchased there. Although I wasn’t able to find exactly what I needed, Tyler went above and beyond to make the return process smooth and hassle-free. He’s been incredibly helpful, responsive, and easy to work with throughout. On top of that, the care this store provides for its animals is exceptional. The enclosures are spacious, thoughtfully enriched, and meet high standards of husbandry. All the animals appear healthy and well-cared for, which is something I truly value. It’s rare to find a place that combines outstanding customer service with genuine care for animals. Like I said, the two-hour drive is absolutely worth it.

This is a good pet store. I’ve been to more “charming” stores, but this has everything you need. They sell small live animals (ferrets and rodents, possibly reptiles). I’ve gone there for the self-service dog wash, which is ok, but no one washes or cleans the tubs in-between use, they have 5 tubs with steps, shampoo and towels included. Grooming is available and occasionally pet adoptions. Good location with plenty of off-street parking.

EDIT 1/30/25: I went to this store today and all of their birds had their flight wings, and I’m so happy! Thank you to the employees for being awesome people! I’ve only had one bad experience here, but it’s still pretty serious. This was in May 2023. When I was buying my parakeet from them, they had an employee try to get him, but they weren’t experienced with the birds. my parakeet escaped the cage and flew around the store before going into a window. I was so panicked and upset. Luckily my bird is now happy and safe in my home. Their bird person is really amazing and friendly though, she got me my cockatiel and other parakeet. Everyone I’ve encountered is very kind and helpful. They take good care of all their animals, but if I were to have something changed, it would be for them to not buy cockatiels with clipped wings. It’s abuse to clip a birds wings. My cockatiel couldn’t fly for a very long time and injured himself nearly everyday. He’s doing better today but still doesn’t fly as much as he should. Pics of my birds just for fun because they’re cute
