I kept fish for a very, very long time and have been to many fish stores all over the country, but I have been out of the hobby for several years to move overseas, but I have to say, this owner is incredible!!! Most places I have ever walked into assume girls know nothing about keeping salt tanks and they know everything and will even double down when they are wrong, but this guy didn’t treat me any differently than any other customer! He was so kind, knowledgeable, and relaxed. I had my husband with me who is new to the hobby, and he spoke to both of us like equals as humans and asked us questions to gauge our knowledge to speak on our level and not like an elitist know-it-all, and at the same time not willing to allow us to make poor choices just for the sake of the sale. He truly listened to what we said and offered practical options and didn’t pressure us into one way or another rather he spoke knowledgeably about pros and cons to allow us to choose what made sense for our situations. He had a genuine enthusiasm and passion for his work and the animals he cares for which really shined through as we spoke with him. If I didn’t already have a full time career, I would be begging to work at Aqua Haus, because it is such a positive place to learn! Most positive experience I’ve ever had in a fish store!
