Pet City Houston

I come here twice a week just to see all the cool pets and amimal. I love the reptile collection. Being from Ohio we never had pet stores with this many options. So its pretty cool to see the variety of pets to choose from. All different kinds. I normally come to get crickets and mice. Which are always available. The puppies are also very cude and cuddly. I got to hold a puppy 1 time. The workers are more then happy to help customers with their needs. They also offer a nice payment plan for puppies. Im glad this place exist for animal lovers ❤️❤️❤️

Very clean looking, smelled good . Good presentation of the animals . All the the enclosures were clean and looked well maintained. Didn’t buy a pet here just came to check it out and bought some feeder mice and live pinkies .

I bought a turtle & ghost shrimp on Saturday, came back 2 days later to buy more shrimp. Ended up running into an issue yesterday, the store owner contacted me today and got it all handled. Good customer service goes a long way with me. It’s a 30 minute drive but I’ll keep making the trip after speaking with John, he was amazing.

I came to buy canned dog food. The Small & Medium Breed Puppy Recipe Dog Food 5 oz was priced at $1.99. I was charged $2.99. The cashier also tried explaining to the manager on duty that the canned food was priced incorrectly. The manager on duty would not honor the fact that the dog food was priced incorrectly and would not refund me. The 13 oz cans were priced at $2.99. I bought 5 ounce cans that were priced at $1.99, but I was charged $2.99. Update: I initially had a bad experience with the manager on duty regarding pricing. However, the owner John immediately called me when he saw this review and apologized! I really appreciate the fact that he took out the time to call me and make the issue right! Besides that one incident, my experience with Pet City Houston has been great and my Morkie is doing well! The owner really cares about his customers which is something you don’t find often! Thank you John!

I rate this pet store a zero it is very bad here the employees are very disrespectful. They are not helpful the two white women just keep lien to me in my face the black girl in there was catching attitudes and being disrespectful they sold me a hamster that was sick and had eye infections and injuries they did not refund me or anything to help the situation this place is horrible April 15, 2025 they do not check on they animals health they sit at the front all day doing nothing! And by the way all this happened the same day I purchased the animal if you want a healthy pet I suggest you go to a professional pet store that is very helpful and more healthier thanks...
