Lots of different fish and accessories for anything you can dream up! Staff is super friendly, greet you when you come in and you don't have to go out of your way for their help.

Dallas North Aquarium - now introducing dying betta fish for only $59.99! In all seriousness, I've been coming here with my partner for the past year, and this store used to be a great local shop. Now, in the past month or two, we've noticed a significant number of dead and/or dying fish in their tanks, exemplified by their new betta section shown here. This section was previously dedicated to aquarium wood and rocks, but is now full of betta fish in small containers, most of whom are also dead and/or dying. We've also seen items not regularly sold in the store before, like hamster balls and small glass bowl aquariums.

By far my favorite place to come and get all the the stuff we need to build new tanks and they always have beautiful live plants and fish, staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Dallas North Aquarium provides top-notch fish tank cleaning services! Trevor is professional, thorough, and always ensures the tank looks pristine. I appreciate their attention to detail and how carefully they handle everything, ensuring the well-being of the fish. The customer service is excellent—they’re friendly, responsive, and willing to answer any questions. Scheduling was easy, and they were punctual, which made the entire process hassle-free. Highly recommend their services for anyone looking to maintain a healthy and beautiful aquarium!

It’s disappointing to see how this store routinely dismisses critical reviews as “misleading” instead of honestly reflecting on the issues being raised. The owner often responds to concerns with unhelpful comments like, “What is wrong with that?” or a literal "..." which feels more like deflection than accountability. It sends a clear message: feedback isn’t welcome here unless it’s praise. What’s especially frustrating is that the staff themselves are genuinely helpful, patient, and clearly care about the animals. They’re doing their absolute best under difficult conditions. The problem isn’t them — it’s the lack of support they receive. If the store is as understaffed as the owner repeatedly claims, then maybe it's time to rethink how the business is run or improve working conditions to attract more help. Using understaffing as a blanket excuse doesn’t fix anything — it just leads to burnout for good employees and suffering for the animals. I come in on weekdays too, so let’s skip the “weekends are busy” excuse. During my visit, 5 out of 8 of the $60 bettas on display showed visible signs of fin rot or swim bladder issues. For that price point, that level of neglect is unacceptable. And the so-called “expanded volume” betta tanks? Imagine being moved from a 10 sq ft room to a 20 sq ft room and being told, “Enjoy the extra space!” It’s still nowhere near humane. This store has potential — because of the hardworking staff and the equipment it houses. This is one of the only places in DFW I can still buy much of my fish supplies and comparing when I would come in a few months ago to coming in recently, it's just kind of sad.
