I found my new favorite store and that is this store. Age of Aquariums...This store is 3 stores in 1 and it has any and everything u ever wanted and then some. Its like walking into a 1 of a kind thrift store. And if u know me at all u would know I love me a thrift store. They have old records, what nots, pictures vintage and new and the fish aquarium is pretty neat too. They have everything u would need to get u started on getting all the necessities to start on having a fish tank. From the decor all the way to the rocks in diff sizes to the fish and even have lil frogs which I thought were so stinkin cute!! I highly recommend u to go check out this store if u r ever in Tennessee. My boyfriend and I stopped in the other day to check it out and. I was very impressed with all the different and the variety to choose from. I highly recommend this store to anyone young and old!

We absolutely love this place! We drive 30 minutes or so from Crossville because they are the best place to visit with all the selection available. It's so much better than our local place and the big box stores around. They are super knowledgeable and a great help in making sure that we are getting the right fish with the right husbandry! We appreciate all his expertise and experience! We look forward to many more trips and growing our aquarium family!

A Horror Show of Neglect—Stay Away! Neglect. Neglect. Neglect. I visited one of their two locations, and what I saw was beyond unacceptable—it was inhumane. The first location was a nightmare: reptiles, rabbits, and fish suffering in squalor inside a warehouse that reeked of dead fish and feces. Not a single reptile was being properly cared for. The conditions were so appalling that I wanted to leave immediately, but I stayed long enough to observe the extent of poor husbandry happening. Tanks? Filthy inside and out. Reptiles? Left in enclosures that clearly hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Some had a single heat lamp but no UVB, while others had no lighting at all. Rabbits? Trapped in cages filled with old feces—when they weren’t crammed into tiny bird cages feet off the ground, still cluttered with bird toys. Even worse, their waste fell from the upper cages straight into the ones below, contaminating enclosures filled with baby bunnies and even more bird toys. The second location, near Game Xchange, wasn’t much better. The employee sat kicked back in his chair, making no effort to maintain the tanks or tend to the animals. They may have a wide selection, but I would only ever buy from them to rescue an animal from these horrific conditions. The fact that this business has two locations in Cookeville is beyond shameful. This level of neglect should not be allowed to continue.

A zero star if I could based on the neglection of every single animal in there. I originally walked in to the gaming section assuming they were 2 separate store. But no… it’s a junk store/animal store. Everywhere you look there is a neglected animal with filthy tanks and even saw a couple tanks with dead axolotls in them. They also had chinchillas in really small cages with mold growing in the water bottles they drink out of!!! None of those animals should be up on the market based on their health and the owner should not be the ones to take care of them.

My experience was great I bought 17 cichlid from them. All of them are doing great and price was good to. As far as tanks being dirty I saw no problems they where all maintained. I would definitely recommend them if u are looking for a big variety of healthy fish. The guy that was Theresa's friendly and knowledgeable about everything I asked. We traveled from Crossville and this will be my go to store.
