UPDATE TO OUR TANK: PLEASE NOTE WE ARE NEW TO FISH AND ARE IN THE LEARNING PROCESS THIS MAY BE A LONG POST JUST TO CARRY ANY NEWBIES THROUGH THE PROCESS. We posted a review few days ago about the exceptional help that we got with beginning to set up our tank. Went back and got our tank starters... I believe the young mans name was Tyler who helped us this time... and it's been a little bit of a roller coaster getting things quite right. Got a Betta, some tetras and 2 catfish to clean the tank and within hours of bringing them home, acclimating them to the tank everything perished but the Betta. After doing some research and going back to the store we attributed to this to lack of oxygen in the tank as we had our filter set to low. The store also has a guarantee for their fish πŸ‘. They tested our water before we put the fish in and everything was normal so we increased the flow and got a new pod of fish. We were concerned because our Betta fish hung out in the top corners by the heater and wasn't really swimming around the tank. We were advised that this is normal behavior as they acclimate and get used to the tank. New fish included, rainbow fish, different type of catfish, and a clown plecco. Everything seems to go "swimmingly" and we turned in for the evening. When we woke up in the morning the tank looked cloudy and we had lost two of our rainbow fish.... the Betta was now lively and swimming around the tank, the catfish were healthy, the other two rainbow fish were doing well. We fed them and everything but the sickly looking rainbow fish ate. Took a sample of the water and yet for the third day headed back to the store. They were very busy as it was adoption day but we still were greeted with friendly staff and multiple staff offered to help. If people weren't well-versed in fish they found somebody who was. I didn't get everyone's name but I know Melanie spent some time with us deliberating on what could be the matter, tested our water again with another employee (name I didn't get) and our water was fine. They gave us some new solution that would help clear up the cloudiness and even though Chris was busy with other things he assisted with further testing of the water and some recommendations. Pictures of our Betta hanging out on the top near the heater, the cloudiness of the water and then finally the last two pictures are after the treatment and our healthy looking tank. I can't thank the staff enough for their patience and time to reassure that we are doing everything correct. We have been to the store mostly for our golden retriever for the self washing station which is a huge plus and always clean! The store itself is clean and organized and staff are always friendly/helpful. We finally broke down and got my tenacious 11 year old a fish tank and we were lucky enough to talk with Chris who was able to talk us through the beginnings of setting things up and what to get. He met us in an aisle asked if he could help and then proceeded to spend as much time as we needed talking about how to set things up what decore would be appropriate what fish would be easily maintained for beginners... answered every question my son had to ask. I was weary of getting fish from a franchise or a large corporation but he laid out how they ordered fish and maintain them and I was very impressed with his knowledge and expertise. We happened to go on a weekend and they were out some things but he told us when the next stock was to come in, invited us back and said that he would help us pick what was appropriate when the new stock of items came in. Couldn't be happier with the assistance! Hope to update as we progress

The store is clean, the pets up for adoption are very well cared for. The sales people are friendly and acknowledge you when you walk into the store. The products are laid out in clean isles and easy to find, the prices are easy to see...no products in the wrong place with the wrong prices displayed......

Super rude attendant!!! She picked up the carts and kept hitting them against each other!!! I won't take my dog here anymore! I'll bathe him somewhere else.

First time here was today to get my chihuahua groomed. The staff here truly love what they do. I have closer options to where I live but the staff at Second Street Bagels spoke very highly about this location. I was nervous about leaving my dog but was put to ease immediately. They took awesome care of him and he looks great. I will no doubt return to this location. Leo knows he looks good!

I was at the store on 2nd of this month. Entered tge store asked cashier about some puppy stuff. She said I don't know. Asked another kid in the store, she poi ted me to another person . I saw a girl stocking shelves. She was a little busy , but I asked her for help. She was very nice. Her name was Kelly. But I was amazed with the knowledge she had about stuff about puppy. Her name is Kelly. She was amazing, her knowledge was excellent. But I went to the store today and I found out that she was gone. How can you get rid of a person who has so much knowledge about pets, and the store It is sad. I think that she could have been an asset for your store. In the end I think that you should also reply to the people with less star reviews
