The coral tank was also a standout, with a pretty solid selection considering the store is fairly new and the tanks had clearly been picked through over the weekend. The dry goods section felt a bit bare and could use some restocking and better displays. Unfortunately, I did notice a concerning number of sick fish in both the freshwater and saltwater systems, including signs of ich, velvet, and flukes. These are all treatable issues, so hopefully it was just a bad shipment possibly related to the cold weather and something they’ll get under control soon. The staff seemed knowledgeable and well-informed, which gives me confidence they’ll address it. On a positive note, they were flexible on coral pricing, and I picked up some really nice pieces under market price, which is always great to see. They’re also hosting an upcoming coral swap, which is a big plus for the local reefing community.
