About
ReefLife in Tulsa, Oklahoma is the kind of saltwater shop that builds its reputation one tank at a time — literally. Owner Kevin spent years maintaining reef tanks for businesses and private clients across the region before taking over the former Coral Guy location and launching his own store. That hands-on maintenance background shows in every detail, from the health of the livestock to the quality of advice customers receive.
The coral selection consistently draws praise, with reviewers noting torch corals, bubblegum varieties, and pricing that undercuts other Tulsa shops significantly. One customer scored a three-headed bubblegum torch for $120 — a coral they estimated at $500+ elsewhere. Blue hippo tangs have been spotted at roughly half the price of competing stores.
The systems are visibly well-maintained, and staff member Theresa (or Teresa) has earned her own following for her deep knowledge of every fish in the shop and her willingness to share it at length. What makes ReefLife stand out in Tulsa's saltwater community is the continuity of care. Multiple reviewers mention Kevin maintaining their office or home reef tanks for six years or more, treating each aquarium as if it were his own.
That maintenance expertise translates directly into better livestock advice — Kevin is noted for carefully considering how new fish and corals will interact with a customer's existing setup before recommending a purchase. The store runs lean, with limited hours and a compact footprint, so timing your visit matters. But what it lacks in square footage it compensates for with a curated selection and genuine engagement.
Newcomers to the saltwater hobby report feeling confident rather than overwhelmed, while experienced reefers appreciate being able to talk shop with someone who clearly lives and breathes reef keeping. The display tank alone is worth the visit — multiple reviewers describe it as a mood-lifter. For Tulsa's marine aquarium community, ReefLife has quickly become the default destination.

Customer reviews
“Kevin and Theresa are awesome and are always willing to answer all of the questions even when we throw a million "stupid" question at them!! They are so patient and will tell you all of the information they know. The more you go in the more they will share knowledge. Sometimes Theresa is the only one at the shop and a bunch of people come in at once but if you are patient with her she is happy to help and will even tell you every thing she knows about each fish in the shop.”

— Harvey Casteel5.06 months ago“On April 27 my son spent $300 on 5 saltwater fish. When we were in the car the Hippo Tang was laying on it's side, which is normal if they are stressed so we didn't think much of it. He put it in his quarantine tank and noticed it was still laying around but would swim occasionally. Monday morning when we checked the fish it was dead. The store was closed so he left a message and was called back within a couple of hours. All of the other fish are perfectly fine so it's not an imbalance in the tank. The gentleman who called back was basically like sorry your fish is dead but we don't care. I would understand if it died in a couple of days but it was half dead in the bag. Basically we donated $100 to the store for a dead fish. On the stores defense he offered half off of a new fish but why would we drive a hour one way for a fish from the same tank that could die on the way back home and then he's out more money. Buyers beware....if your fish dies on the way home they don't care.”
