Steven's Cichlids

We placed an order a month ago, on his website if you spend $600 or more shipping is free. We paid for shipping at that time, he reached out to us and said that we would get credit for shipping. I used credit towards a fish and still had $15 left. To be clear we paid for shipping up front not when we picked up the fish. When we received the fish we got a fish that had a deformed eye we reached out to him and were told that he would replace the fish we were also given a fish that was 2” and they were advertised as 5” we were then told he would credit us $30. Over the last few weeks we saw 2 fish we liked and reached out trying to place the order. Which was difficult to get any response from them. They reached out and asked if I wanted those fish finally and they would ship same day. I asked what would be my total for those 2 fish and 2 additional fish. I was given a price of $45-60 for shipping. As I mentioned numerous times what is my total I was given a total and a pay pay link with invoice to pay. Therefore I sent the amount asked, I woke up this morning to an additional invoice of $110 and was told whoever works for him accidentally paid for the shipping at that point I reached out to him saying I’m confused wasn’t that included in the amount I paid yesterday. I have asked numerous times why was it not brought to out attention that shipping is paid upon pick up of the fish? Why did the first order we place through them we paid for shipping up front when now he’s saying you pay upon arrival? And why is the shipping this morning more than double what we were told yesterday. His solution to this was to cancel my order and to send me my money back as I agreed to plus the amount they owe from the previous order due to being charged for shipping, deformed fish, and a fish than was half the size of what was advertised. They are now claiming that I won’t be refunded until they got the fish back. They should have thought about that before threatening me and giving me this solution.

Wow! my wife and I set a time with him to come over. The setup is incredible. The thing about trying new fish is you don't know what to ask. Him and his Mrs. Answered all the questions you didn't know you had. Very knowledgeable. The fish, all healthy. No under the weather tanks, no sick fish. All of the tanks were well taken care of. I was amazed. I set an hour appointment with him, I thought and I told my wife. There is no way possibly it would be an hour but it was nice to have the time. Wrong again, the time flew, and yes it was about an hour. We got 9 different cichlids that we left with. I'd beyond highly recommend steven for african cichlids if that is your fish. Very professional, on point for sure. Thanks for the great experience!

Been my go to guy for some time. Been with them since they started and its amazing to watch the growth! Some of the best looking cichlids I've owned have come from here. Steven its always a pleasure, and if they have ever been any issues he irons them out right away. He has so many fish I always end up seeing another one I want as if he was holding out! You are a hard-working man! It was great seeing you and the progress you have made. 70 tanks! When we bought our first fish from you 6 years ago, you had maybe 25 or 30 tanks. You are still selling the cleanest, best quality fish and for a fair price. Well worth the 280 mile round trip. Your selection and variety are truly impressive. We came home with five premium fish, all averaging 5 or 6 inches. We could not be happier!

This guy is always posting about how someone else's business is infringing on his own. Wouldn't buy from a small business that spends it's time tearing down other small businesses just because he didn't get the sale.
