I have had nothing but positive outcomes in all my dealing with them.she is there to answer any questions you may have as well as offer her advice on the situation. I only deal with them when it comes to my wayer babies.they ate the best as far as I am concerned. Would highly recommend themto anyone looking for a new edition to they're family

I fell in love with our axolotl Xochitl the moment I saw her on The Mottled Lottl. I had been following their posts in the FB group and reading through many of their care guides on the website while learning about axolotl care before making a decision. Initially, I was planning to get one locally, but this tatted-up beauty kept catching my eye. She was on holdback for a while, meaning the breeder was considering keeping her for future breeding. When I saw the post about her being available, I knew it was a sign. I was a bit nervous about having her shipped, but after watching the breeder's video on how they handle shipping, I felt much more confident. The care that goes into it really reassured me, and she arrived safe and sound! Overnight shipping is pricey no matter what, but the fact that The Mottled Lottl requires it for their axies added to my respect for them—it shows they truly care about the well-being of their animals. I also appreciate the detailed lineage they provide for each axolotl, showing they breed responsibly and ethically. Inbreeding is a big issue in the industry, and it’s great to see a breeder committed to avoiding that. As for Xochitl’s arrival—she came on a Tuesday, safe and happy. They only ship on Mondays so they can fast them beforehand, which prevents them from sitting in dirty water during transit. She arrived in clean water, full of energy (which, for an axolotl, is on the chill side) and with a great appetite for wormies. Beyond being thrilled with Xochitl, the breeder has been super responsive to all my questions, and it’s clear she loves what she does. I also ordered two worm farms and some of their worm food for Xochitl. I haven’t reviewed those yet, but I was really impressed by the quality of the ingredients in the worm food she sells. I couldn’t find anything comparable online or on Amazon, and it didn’t seem like something I could easily make myself, so I plan to keep ordering that worm food from them to make sure Xochitl's future snacks are well fed and nutritious for her. All in all, I highly recommend this breeder! Thanks again, Mottled Lottl! PS: She's currently tubbed in the photo because her tank is still cycling. :)

The Mottled Lotl was amazing to deal with! Great quality axolotls! My family and I are first time axolotl owners and The Mottled Lotl was there to answer all our questions and then some. We also purchased a seasoned filter and worm farm to go with our new little one. I was very impressed with the knowledge and friendly customer service. We will definitely be back.
