“GLF&C is a clean local fish store (LFS) tucked neatly into a small storefront in a strip mall in Macedonia, Ohio. You'll likely love the selection of both standards and unexpected species they offer, as well as the diversity in aquarium setups and accessories. The friendly members of the staff are knowledgeable and very helpful. That said, I did notice aiptasia in one of the display tanks, which is not unusual in any LFS that deals in saltwater setups. This should not deter your willingness to visit and purchase from this impressive establishment...just remember to ask whichever friendly staff member that's helping you where you can find the coral dip.”

The livestock are all healthy and well taken care of. They are one of the few that actually care about their livestock, and don't view them all simply as dollar-signs. There is always an awesome selection of livestock and accessories in general. Not to mention, the staff are very pleasant and knowledgeable, and they will guide you in the correct direction if you ever have questions. Because of them I have my first reef tank and my whole family is in love with it. I'm very thankful and appreciative to the owner and staff, and highly recommend this store above all others.”

I've never seen a dead fish floating in the displays which is not the normal from what I've seen in other stores, and each tank is its own system so you don't have to worry about cross contamination when it comes to fish disease. I've bought 5 separate fish from Andrew and each time they are put in my tank and start eating, displaying normal behavior almost instantly. I won't buy fish from any other store. You can tell him and his staff care about the animals in the shop by the quality they put out. I also appreciate his staff, including Andrew; take time to answer questions and have the right answers as well. Andrew remembered my tank is a reef tank with fish in it and recommends "utility" fish and invertebrates that work well in my system. I live an hour away but it's worth the drive. It's a shame I don't live closer. Much appreciation for the services provided.”
