I was really impressed by the staff, everyone was accessible and willing to help, educate about the animals, and answer any questions. Huge variety of animals: parrots, rabbits, Guinea pigs, ferrets, frogs, spiders, lizards, frogs, turtles, huge variety of mature/good sized fish, plants, feeder animals and every pet supply you need. They’ve been in business since 1971. Very well known locally as the best pet store in Alamance. Go see them, you won’t regret it.

Love coming into the store and getting live worms being y’all are the closest to my house but yesterday I didn’t experience that and by the time I got home they were barely breathing and most of them were dead. The gentleman said they came to the store that way and if that’s the case they shouldn’t have been full price. Now I just spent $8.99 on something he isn’t even going to eat.

I spent $18.72 here today, only to be handed political stickers promoting a message I do not support. I came to this store to purchase shrimp supplies, not to be subjected to unsolicited political propaganda. I do not support terrorism, and I find it completely inappropriate and offensive for a business to inject political agendas into a retail transaction. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I urge others to consider where their money is going.

Lots of different animals. Fun to visit with the kids. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about each animal. They seem to enjoy there job and answer any questions i had. A hidden gem. Go check them out.

I’ve been meaning to get on here and write a review because I’ve been going here for well over a year. This place is seriously the definition of a family owned, loving, small town shop. They’ve been around for awhile for a reason. They’re all super nice and always super helpful, and they really know their stuff. They have helped me I don’t know how many times with my reptiles. They give me advice, they educate me, they really help me with whatever I need for my pets. I was having a rough time with my ball pythons shed and I was very worried. I took her to them and they gave me AMAZING advice that I went home and tried. It wasn’t quite the fix so I took her back, and they took her in and got her stuck shed fixed and made her look right back to her beautiful self! I trusted them completely and they were great with her. They are educational, supportive and friendly. Would recommend and return! Love this business and the workers.
