The Aquarium Shop Westbury

Friendly staff. One of the few decent aquarium shops on the island. Pretty good freshwater selection, and tons of saltwater. Normally you would have to travel far to even get a sliver of selection this shop offers. I would give it a 5 star rating... but I need to be honest and point out the fact I have seen fish with ich. Just quarantine your fish if you buy. Should be standard practice anyway.

This store is under new management as of early 2022. With Joe's help, Mike and Krystian came over from Manhattan Aquariums to revamp this location into the new LFS destination for everything Marine, Freshwater, and Planted. Along with the staff, everyone worked very hard to bring the customers a brand new shopping experience. We appreciate the efforts they've put into it, and hope The Aquarium Shop will keep the location going for many many years to come.

Very very well kept store - tanks are kept in immaculate condition, products are fronted neatly, and above all, super clean. Great place to shop - staff is very pleasant to deal with, and VERY reasonable livestock & hardgoods prices.

A wide variety of saltwater and freshwater fish. Weekly shipments come in so there is always new stuff popping up. Good selection of corals and anemones. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly,

Please support these local spots. Petco and pet smart don’t treat there fish well. This place is clean, fairly priced and the workers are knowlegable.
