Tropical Pets

This place is ATROCIOUS!!! An absolute disgrace! I paid $75 for a leopard gecko all for it to die less than a week later. Imagine overpaying for a pet all for it to pass away. I have the correct enclosure and everything. Dirty small pet store in the Bronx. Stay away. Next time I’m staying in Westchester. This place enriches the negative Bronx stereotype.

Called to inquire about the species of a type of bird available. Was told that he (the individual that I spoke with) should not give prices over the phone. Why not? I asked. Was just told to bring my credit card. And got hung up on. Great customer service. (sarcasm)

The shop is well run with a good array of products but the prices are just entirely too high especially considering the local demographic. When I inquired on the phone about prices I was told that they couldn’t disclose prices over the phone. Something about that was discouraging and shady. A cool shop all in all.

Owner was super racist i went in for cat food, didn’t let my friends in and made a comment about their skin color. And then when I was leaving since it was out of my price range he said “your people never buy anything just come in to look so cheap”

I have been to this store I believe 3,4 times for different animals Soo far is been a year since I got my first pet from here and is doing beautiful my other Animlas aswell actually like this store good deals nice one ☝🏽 right here!!
