Very knowledgeable staff (owner), and a killer-looking Betta fish that looks like Ozzy in the blue shirt with white fringe. Had to have him! His name is The Prince of Darkness. Of course.

First time in the store last weekend and had a lot of questions about fish. The owners took the time to answer all my questions, and explained all things fish to me as I'm not familiar. I left feeling more educated and confident in what I was doing. I greatly appreciate the time and patience! We will definitely be coming back next weekend to get all my new fish friends once I'm set up.

As someone that is a Local of the Burg and have done business multiple times with this business in the past, I will say that the owners are kind and helpful. Unfortunately, we bought a guinea pig from them and only 8 months later it stayed having severe dental problems and passed away. The vet said that not only in his opinion was the guinea older than what we were told, but that it had most likely been dealing with overgrown molars for some time before we got him. When I spoke to them they told me to feed it just the pellet food. Which was very bad advice! You have to feed guineas a diet of pellets, fresh veggies and unlimited hay. The hay is what wears down their molars and prevents dental disease. When a guinea gets dental issues it stops eating, the pig goes into gut stasis and it dies. If this place is going to sell animals, they need to know their facts! Give people good advice and get your animals checked by a vet before you sell them! The poor thing has multiple issues, and even though we did everything we possibly could we still lost our baby! I would advise people to not waste their time or money here, go to petco where all their animals are checked by a local vet prior to selling and they are given hay in their cage as well. If you don't know the animal you are selling, then don't sell it to people and give them the wrong info!!! And to customers... go someplace that has healthy animals that are pre checked by a vet. Petco in Blue springs is wonderful and our new guinea has been checked, was bred healthy and is in perfect condition!

This place is awesome! The people who own it are so friendly! The prices are so are much better than other pet store I've been to. You can get a bearded dragon at an extremely great price! Their feeder fats are healthy and also reasonably priced! I look forward to coming back here.

Such an amazing local store!!! I bought two clownfish, and had a great experience. The owner helped me pick out my fish and talked with me for almost an hour about how to take care of them. He answered all my questions. I absolutely will be purchasing more from this pet store. Prices are great, especially for the quality.
