Pet-Topia

Love this place and love the owners/employees. Great vibes & prices. Owners always buy me what I want so if There is something you want ask them and they will get it for you . They show appreciation to their regulars. The store is always clean and organized. It’s definitely one of the better pet stores in the Kansas City Metro.!

Recently started up a saltwater reef tank, I checked out half a dozen shops with tropical fish and corals in the KC area and Pet-Topia is EASILY the best. The staff is so knowledgeable and their tanks are so clean, corals look amazing. GREAT prices on live and dry rock, not to mention wet Wednesdays! The only place I’ll be going for all of my aquarium needs.

I'm not easy to impress with pet stores I used to work in a really awesome well put together pet store so when I say this place is fin-tastic I truly mean the range of different aquatic fish in store even sea horses and bigger clown fish than you'll see in most shops and then the variety of tanks equipment and reptiles and reptile supplies they have awesome display tanks and good variety of dog and cat stuff also and the staff wasn't bugging me every two seconds either asking if I needed anything which to me personally was nice I know what I'm doing and know what I need so when I'm able to just browse a bit and see what all a new to me store has to offer it's nice not being bothered every few minutes all in all a top notch place to go!

If you like fish or aquascaping, go here. This place is much better than the chain pet stores in that regard. They have an entire room dedicated to fresh and saltwater fish. They also have snails, shrimp, plants, coral, etc. Their fish have better living conditions than at other chain stores, and everything is well stocked. They also just have more species and variations. I talked to Chris who was helpful in hooking me up with some shrimp and fish for my nano low-tech tank.

The shop is clean and organized. The staff is helpful and polite. Prices are reasonable. Live animals and fish seem to be healthy. (I did not make a purchase of any living thing this trip)
