Thank you April for your kindness today ☺️ This store is ALWAYS clean and I prefer this one over the one in St. Clair Shores on Harper. Will continue to shop here as the prices for Friskies Shreds are cheaper than at Kroger! Employees have ALWAYS been kind to me if I have ever needed assistance or had any questions. Will keep shopping at this location.

A loyal customer for over 5 years- several pets and I utilize this location for more than pet food purchases but also washes, and vet clinics. The customer service was exceptional at the beginning but as staff has changed so went the customer service- Justin the assistant manager is condescending and quite rude on multiple occasions . I have overlooked it quite a few times for convenience but final straw was today. I made a purchase- and also purchased a pet wash. Another customer was using the facility so I waited with my giant dog in the car and returned close to when I thought they may be finishing up. I waited in line and advised I’d paid for my dog wash and was requesting the water be turned on. Justin questioned me and didn’t believe me as another cashier rung me up, he then radioed employees to confirm my purchase - the employee had just left so I advised that I just saw her walk out- I do have a receipt that can be located via phone number. Again I shop here A LOT I own several dogs. I am not hard up for a free pet wash- Justin confirmed my purchase but was still quite rude and condescending before I could finish my dog the water was turned off- not even 30 minutes thankfully I was rinsing -funny thing- as I was leaving another customer made the same request for water to be turned on and was given no problem nor questioned about their pet wash purchase. I like Pet supplies but Justin has consistently been a real jerk.

The new store manager here has his/her employees afraid to honor coupons given out by corporate. Most of the coupons are at most giving people 3 bucks off. Thankfully the shift manager did take care of me and figure out a way I could use my 10% off coupon I was given by corporate in return for allowing them to put my phone number in their system. As an operations manager myself I would never allow a customer to walk away from a $30 sale over $3. I would advise you coach this new store manager on the importance of allowing his/her team to feel empowered to make decisions on things like a company issued coupon not working. Maybe even set a limit of $5 or something that allows them to take care of the customer if the discount is less than $5. With how the economy is right now a coupon could make or break a sale. In fact it did today when I left everything at the register. I didnt make a big deal in the store. There was customers waiting behind me so I just said oh ok well I dont want any of it then and walked back out to my car to call the manager on duty. In all of my years in retail I have never worked for or lead a business that didn't want you to take care of their customers within reason. Especially when they have a coupon that was texted from corporate to their phone. You cannot fake that. The cashier could also stand to be coached on what to do if this happens again. Turns out all I had to do was sign up in store for rewards because your system doesn't update in real-time like it should. It was just an embarrassing situation and more so upsetting that I had to walk my baby back out without her new bone she hand picked out. This was her first trip to a pet store. Again the MOD was fantastic and I hate that I even had to be that person but I followed the terms and conditions of the coupon. So being denied because your system isn't updated enough to handle a rewards program wasn't acceptable to me. Prior to this I was just telling myself in my head that I was going to make it my new pet store of choice for my pups food as hartwick fields is only available there and it's decent food.

We called ahead to ask if this store had gerbils available and they claimed they did. When we got there, we couldn't see any in the cage. Called an employee over and they searched the case as well; there were none to be found. They didn't even have any record of them being sold recently. Would've been nice if the employee on the phone checked the case first to make sure they were there so we didn't have to drive so far. Didn't help that the employee we're very sure we talked to on the phone was there and rolled their eyes at us when they saw us leaving. Sorry, was catching you in a lie incredibly inconvenient of us?
