## About

Aquarium Guy LLC in Louisville, Kentucky is a service-driven operation run by Brian, a hands-on aquarium professional whose years of experience and genuine passion for the hobby come through in every project. The business has built a strong reputation for custom tank setups, plumbing work, and ongoing maintenance — the kind of personalized service that's increasingly hard to find.

Brian's specialty lies in tackling complex installations. One customer described how Brian replumbed a used 210-gallon tank, transferred an existing freshwater setup, and converted a 150-gallon into a new saltwater system — all in a single day, on budget, and without schedule changes. That kind of reliability and technical skill speaks volumes. He's assisted by PJ, his partner, and together they handle everything from initial consultation and phone troubleshooting to in-home installation and follow-up care.

On the retail side, Aquarium Guy stocks an impressive coral selection that multiple reviewers have praised. Customers describe the corals as excellent with a vast assortment, alongside a solid inventory of saltwater fish. The shop also shares space with Andy's Pet Shop, which carries birds and other animals, giving the location a lively, diverse atmosphere.

What distinguishes Brian is his willingness to educate. He doesn't just set up a tank and walk away — he takes time to explain processes, repeat information when needed, and open customers' minds to possibilities for their setups. One customer who relocated to Louisville from Texas with no local contacts found in Brian not just a service provider but a genuine partner in the hobby. Another noted how Brian patiently walked them through their first tank cleaning over the phone.

For Louisville residents looking for freshwater or saltwater expertise, coral selection, or someone who can handle a full tank build from plumbing to livestock, Aquarium Guy LLC delivers the kind of hands-on, knowledgeable service that turns first-time customers into long-term clients.

## Customer Reviews

> They let me swim in the tanks! Not much fish poop.

> First off, I moved here from Texas and have absolutely no contacts in Lousville, KY that could help me with my pretty complex "ask". Brian was there without any hesitation. Also was privileged enough to meet his bud, PJ who helped install.

The ask:
I have a 150 gallon freshwater and an empty 210 that I bought used. It was previously plumbed but wasn't sure on all of the needs to get it running again. Brian quoted me a very fair price and came to do the job (zero schedule changes) and got it done within one day without a penny of a price change despite the hoops we had to jump through. Essentially, the project was to move the freshwater setup/fish into the empty 210 and have it re-plumbed and make the 150 freshwater a new saltwater setup. Brian did this with flying colors and at a rapid pace given his years of experience.

Further, Brian truly loves what he does and wants to teach those around him willing to learn. I expressed to him that I want to absorb as much as I can and I can feel that enthusiasm in his voice when he talks about this hobby and just know that if you have made it this far and are considering Brian (The Aquarium Guy) to setup your tank(s), you will have not only a setup but a lasting setup custom-fit to your needs only possible due to his experience and knowledge. Brian is an encyclopedia of aquarium knowledge and I can tell you that we encountered scenarios during my install that puzzled me for a minute but Brian pushed us to the finish line not just to get it done but to get it done CORRECTLY. These fish won't just survive, they will thrive.

Lastly, Brian isn't done when the job is complete. He treats your tank as if it is his own and opens your mind to all sorts of possibilities and enhancements that you are able to do with your setup and I really appreciate that partnership because this is a hobby where a lot of jargon is used and very niche. Thank you again Brian and I am happy that we have crossed paths. Shout out to PJ too, you are the man!

> It's also Andy's Pet Shop and I was there looking at parakeets. They have a bunch and also 3 very knowledgeable staff members that have a wide variety of experience with their own pet birds. When it am ready to buy it will be getting my new parakeet from them.
